Jul 20th & 21st - Outfits #22, 23 & 24 - A Three-fer

Happy weekend, everyone! It's been a busy one, and it's only halfway done. Without further ado, here you go.

Friday's outfit:
A bit blurry, sorry. Leopard sweater (last seen here), faded denim skirt (last worn here), my black sandals (last seen here). The night before, I did a 60-second pedicure right before bed so that my toes would be turquoise too!

Added black and silver accessories:
Two leather cuffs, leather obi, Wendy B ring, and silver hoop earrings.

Sweater (Precis, consignment), skirt (Stockerpoint, thrifted), shoes (Jones New York, consignment), belt (consignment), cuff (Guess, thrifted), studded cuff (vintage), ring (Wendy Brandes).

L and I went for dinner last night, then played board games till the wee hours. I slept in and went straight to play Ulty (Ultimate Frisbee) this morning.
My easy loose grey dress (last worn here), with the new-to-the-capsule red shoes (last worn here).

I added just the statement necklace and gold hoop earrings.
It felt great to be able to change back into this after running around for 2 hours! We had a nice brunch with friends after, and then I had a nap. Well-deserved, I say!

Dress (Gap, consignment), shoes (Predictions, consignment), necklace (Plum).

Tonight is Winesday! Yay, I get to see my girlfriends! I made dessert for us: homemade chocolate cupcakes with coffee ricotta mousse (with brandy in it), with fresh local organic strawberries marinated with Grand Marnier and a bit of sugar. Half of the strawberries are whole and half were blended up into a sauce for spooning over it all. Nom nom, I want to eat it now!

It's a lovely sunny late afternoon, and I'm off to catch the bus. I want to feel like I'm wearing pajamas tonight, so the turquoise dress makes another appearance.
I last wore it here. I'm layering a magenta cami underneath, then added my Smoking Lily obi over it.

Gold sandals (last worn here), because my feet are sore from being crammed into soccer boots.
My gold tree necklace, gold hoops and my Wendy B ring as simple accessories.

Dress (no label, thrifted), cami (swap from Ruth), obi (Smoking Lily), sandals (Naturalizer, consignment), necklace (Foxy), ring (Wendy Brandes).

Whew! And tomorrow is my niece Sidney's 3rd birthday!

How is your weekend going?

  2. I love both of your easy-breezy dress looks. That's how I want to be dressing right now with all this heat. Sounds like you've been having some good times! I hope you're going to wear something fun and funky for your neice's bday! Happy birthday to her.

My weekend has actually gone alright. Gone for talks on that commission job, and got to see my little Monsters and give them their first bath. I smelled like wet cat and flea shampoo for half the day. ;)

    1. Yeah, t-shirt dresses and loose clothes just feel good right now - and our warm weather is nothing like yours!

Aw, wet kitties! I bet that was fun!

    1. Angela, thank you so much! Please understand that I try to focus on the positive here, to put my best foot forward in my blog, as I do in what I wear. This is a little escape from the trials of life for me, and I'm glad it is for you as well. Thank you for reading. :)

  4. Love your outfits, particularly the combo of the turquoise dress with the pops of magenta. Wouldn't have thought to pair those colors, but they look great!

  5. Sounds like a fun weekend, even though it's been busy! I really like your blue outfits - the first one with the leopard jumper and the last one with the blue dress. I really like that belt with it.

  7. You wear dresses so beautifully, Sheila. I love the gray one - it's a different look for you, yes? And with the necklace it's just *wow*.

    1. Yes, the grey one's not really my style, but I like to change things up once in a while.

  8. You always look so great on the weekend. I often think of your unerring ability to buy terrific separates and mixing pieces when I'm shopping - in my closet these days. You know what works for you; I feel like I'm still figuring this out.

Unless we're going somewhere "fancy," I'll confess I wear my bifocals and no make-up on the weekend :o

  9. I love the grey dress so much. Sometimes a simple shift dress is all you need to look fabulous - especially when you have such great accessories. And it has pockets!

The jersey dress is a great choice for a night out with the girls. Super bright and super comfortable.

  11. Loving all the looks, but the leopard sweater is my favorite. I rarely see that particular color and surely would have snapped that up!

When you get a sec, please check out my new blog and follow me! Have a lovely day!
