Friday: Unfortunately, my camera's memory card has a glitch that causes it to delete any of the previous month's photos when the date changes...so I do not have any pictures of Friday's outfit!
I did all the lookup work, so perhaps you can imagine it from the descriptions?

- Cerulean studded suede dress - Danier Leather, vintage 80s, consignment; last worn here in January for a wet Mom-Day
- T-shirt - Leonard Cohen tour shirt, thrifted; not tracked
- Sheer skirt - Vitrin Design, vintage 90s, consignment; first seen here (2nd outfit) in April for a Winesday paper-flower-making session
- Sneakers - Findlay, consignment; last worn here in May with Adidas and a bad green skirt
Accessories:
- Hinged eelskin bangles - both vintage 80s, both thrifted
- Gold/silver/amethyst cobra ring - vintage fair
- Silver/Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes
- Clip-on earrings - thrifted, Sidney
So...cobalt blue suede with gold studs, a long sheer black skirt and a black t-shirt under it, with gold sneakers (and black socks). The clip-on earrings are large black circles with crystals, and they are GONE as I found them too pinchy.
I wore the outfit to work all day, bussed to my hair appointment and met L afterwards at Christie's for dinner, and then onto a rousing evening of board games and music. Much fun was had!
And while I raged and wasted far too much time in trying to recover the pictures, I could not muster the time or energy to redo the outfit, so let's see if I can remember this monthly-rollover glitch for next time. SIGH.
Moving on!
Saturday: I was up early to meet up with reader Judith from Ottawa, who was in town visiting her best friend Leslie. Of COURSE I was excited to meet a reader! I suggested Bubby Rose Bakery, nice and close for all of us.
We awoke to grey skies and downpours, but I was assured by the weather report that it would clear up...and it did!
- Nylon vest - Sun Kim, thrifted; last seen here in June 2025 with lace-printed jeans
- JJ Wilde concert tee - not tracked
- Mesh long-sleeved top - AWear, vintage 90s, thrifted; last worn here in April under the BIGGEST sleeves
- Skirt - Oska, consignment; last seen here with a bad blouse in June
- Boots - Official Mittwoch, Fluevog; last worn here in May with pumpkin bugs
My view of the Castle was obscured by rain, but I could feel it was warm out.
By the time I walked down to meet Judith and Leslie, it was sunny and getting warmer!
I wore layers for all of it - my classic mix of band tee with my other funky pieces.
A long-sleeved mesh tee for sun coverage, but bare legs (with shorts and socks) for coolness. Incognito. I let go of this vest thing - I never wear it and it doesn't ring my bell. GONE.
It got VERY windy out later, and I was glad to have the scarf to keep my hair from blowing all over.

- Leather purse - Julia Sanchez for Vendome, vintage 70s, consignment
- Silk scarf - consignment
- Bug pin - gift from Megan Mae
- Heart pin - consignment
Orange bling:
And one yellow!
- Yellow cuff - thrifted
- Orange plastic bracelet and ring - Italian, vintage 60s, vintage mall
- Wooden clip earrings - vintage expo
- Steel/Lucite ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted
- Venetian glass tile pendant - Venice, gift to Karen from me
I only took a couple of pictures.
This is Bubby Rose's - I am partial to their flour-free meringue chocolate chip cookies (NOM NOM), but I was going for brunch right after this, so I refrained.
A selfie, as I got there a bit early.
The sun was beautiful!
From left: me, Judith and Leslie.
We sat outside and chatted for an hour and a half, and then we walked to John's Place. Leslie stopped at London Drugs, but Judith continued on and met L. Next time, join us for lunch!
See? Two totally normal guys.
L, Nick and I had a yummy brunch, and then I decided to spend that afternoon having a leisurely browse through WIN and Cheers/Csino Vintage. I am working on enjoying the perusal more than the acquisition (I think of this as "catch and release"). I put back a vintage 90s "car-wash" hemmed skirt (too small, also navy blue, ugh) and a beautiful Club Monaco evening clutch (too expensive to resell) but I did find a couple of treasures.
I just did a big cull of my slips - many of them I've had for over 15 years, and they were feeling a little snug these days.

This one fits me perfectly, and only $9.95? Such a good price.
I love that it's by Petticoat Junction - the CA number says it's "Creations Cindy Ann Inc." Sure!

I also can't resist another mesh top (they don't take up much room).
It's by Mexx (all the good mesh tops are).
Whateley, aka Chief Tub Inspector, has been hard at work.
I'm very happy with $14.95. I didn't buy anything at Csino's, but it's fun to look at the 90s/Y2K retro stuff.
Whateley, aka Chief Tub Inspector, has been hard at work.
"This tub isn't going to inspect itself!"
How about you, Barnabas?
"Nope!"
We were supposed to have Cat/Ross over for board games, but they had to cancel, so we just hung out by ourselves (with the kittens). After a leisurely Sunday morning, I got dressed and we headed down to Ye Old Pandemic Park for a long weekend hangout with our pals.
I saved this giant orange skirt for the occasion - I found in a 15-minute shop at WIN last weekend. Okay, yes, I wanted to watch it billow while I walked.
I risked not wearing a jacket, but I had my Ralph Lauren poncho that I always take as a "blanket" for sitting on. I wore it on the walk home, but didn't take any pics of it on, and I don't track it.
I rolled the waistband of the skirt, but the front lining hung down low in front. I picked up the skirt when I needed to not trip! The stuff:
- Paper hat - thrifted
- Leather belt - Mudd, vintage 90s, thrifted
- Star pin - consignment
- Public Enemy pin - consignment, Powell River
- Funky Mancunian - homemade pin!
Silver bling:
I liked the "heavy metal."
- Leather cuff - vintage 90s
- Silver S bracelet - Mexican, consignment, Sidney
- Silver/obsidian ring - consignment
- Silver chain ring - Mexican, consignment
- Loopy silver ring - consignment, Sidney
- Silver pinky ring - consignment, Sidney
- Silver/onyx necklace - Mexican, consignment, Powell River
- Silver earrings - Mexican, consignment, Sidney
I briefly lost my pinky ring - it flew off while I was tossing the frisbee around! - but I found it. Phew!
Lots of pictures, so sit back and scroll.
L and I had to dodge around two does and two spotted fawns on our walk down to Ye Old Pandemic Parke. Yvonne and Randall had an extra chair and insisted I take it.
Unsurprisingly, I think this rules. I even have room for my cider!

Admiring the sparkle of my skirt in the sun!
The gold part was a bit scratchy but overall, it was lovely to wear.

And he brought homemade brownies (and chicken wings!). L and Yvonne dove right in.
Yvonne and Randall brought chips, fresh local tomatoes and cherries, and Twizzlers. Every single brownie was eaten (they were superb).
Brad and Linda are here!
There were other folks in the park too, like the four young men playing some sort of ball game in the background.
Thanks so much to Ron for the extra pictures.
I'm in this one! And Vero has arrived and is chatting with Yvonne and I. After a few hours, the sun started going behind the trees, so we relocated to the other side.
That's my long shadow on the left.

Vero with her gear.
And others' too - that's L's white leather coat.
We had another hour of sun.
Peace out, Vero! A selfie of all of us:
From me clockwise: Randall, Caro, Yvonne, Vero, Linda, Nick, Ron, Casey, Brad and L. We missed seeing Chris, Ali, Greg, Rosanna, Justin, Cat and Ross. Life happens!

Full of happy feelings (and brownies), L and I walked home through our old 'hood.
Ah, there I am, wearing the poncho (my backpack is under it).
We lived near here when we first moved in together, back in 1995.
This place always has an amazing garden. The kittens were happy to have us home, and we hung out with them all night.
They've been enjoying their box.
I like that I can see Whateley's legs through the door.
Such a funny cat.
Both of them, wanting to play.
They're very floppy. On Monday, I was up early to get ready for lunch with my family - L had plans with Nick (his actual birthday) so did his own thing.
Time to get in my annual wearing of this dress I bought in Florence many years ago, in 2014.
- Dress - I'M Isola Marras, Spring/Summer 2013, Florence, Italy; last worn here in October, in the last outfit of the season
- Camisole - Mexx, thrifted; not tracked
- White jeans - Everlane, thrifted; last seen here in June with a weirdly-shaped top
- Shoes - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last worn here in June with patchwork roses
I like it worn open over pants, although the previous outfit over a tulle skirt was also good.
This time I did my wide-legged white jeans and an olive cami.
Showing off the back.
It's such an interesting piece, and I'm amazed at how versatile it is, even after 12 years. Someone came peeking around.
Ready to meet up with my brother Dave, his youngest daughter Sydney, and my mom, at Montana's for lunch. It's been ages since we all got together.
The stuff:
I love turquoise and lime together. - Leather purse - Club Monaco, thrifted
- Belt - Fluevog
Green bling:
Mom recognized most of her jewelry!
- Enameled cuff - Lauren G. Adams, consignment
- Green sparkly bracelet - vintage 60s, Mom's
- Sparkly lemon-lime crystal brooch - vintage 60s, Gram S's
- Earrings - Stella & Dot, consignment, Vancouver
- Coral/olivine ring - Honolulu, 1977, Mom's
- Sparkly ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
The brooch has matching clip-on earrings and belonged to Mom's mother.
Me and Syd.
She's 17 and well over 6 feet tall! Me and Mom.
Wearing her New York necklace (bought on a trip with me) and her top bought in London, on a different holiday with me.

And a nice close-up.
And now...I think Barnabas has the right idea.
What's that?
Yay, so good to see my fam! Love you all!

What's that?
Hide from the world, Whateley?
I agree, I'm done with people.
And let's not even think about the coming week.
Life is about to get busier! Well, there we go, my friends! Thank you so much for being here.
