My mom always dressed me in fall colours, even though she hates them for herself. I've always loved browns and oranges.

It's Leather Weather! My chocolate brown vintage Boss (as in Hugo Boss) leather blazer is connected just under my boobs by a draped chain.
I removed the early 00's bits and bobs from it, and I've never worn it with the sheer linen brown lining (which is frayed at the seams).
I liked how it looked with this gorgeously, thick orange corduroy skirt.

I didn't take my blazer off all day, but here's a shot without. Note my leather anatomical heart at my neck, and the seasonal spooky snake belt. Colleague Jessica coveted it!
Also note the ginormous pockets!

I'm talking to Vizzini here, who's out in the hallway, meowing at me.
This shirt is a winner - it fits really well, and I like the subtle colours in it.

Outerwear. Ta-dah!
And so the rainy season started, with a light drizzle in the morning, and increasing to a steady pitter-pattering by evening. It's supposed to be like this for a few days, which is fine by me. I'm a we(s)t-coaster - I'm used to the rain, and I love being out in it.
This found hat was excellent on the way home - I bundled up my hair into it and it stayed completely dry.
I now have three leather trenchcoats now (caramel, emerald green and gold), and they are my favourite rainy weather toppers.

My Mum was the opposite, she dressed in Autumnal colours (especially leopard print!) but always dressed me in navy blue & red. I'm making up for lost time, now!
ReplyDeleteFab outfit, always good to see that lovely leather trench and the orange cord skirt is really shows off your figure! xxx
I'm in love with this outfit! I love the autumn colours and I love corduroy. That trenchcoat is so good to see again, what a stunner!
ReplyDeleteEchoing Vix and Nancy, your outfit is a delight, both the colors and the fit of that gorgeous skirt! Autumnal vibes with a nod to Halloween, perfect!
ReplyDeleteAs for the boot heel, you swapped the boots out for your Docs for the walk, yes?
Here’s to the middle of the week!
Cheers, Laurie
Yes, I always swap my shoes for walking Docs (I have 3 pairs of walking-to-work shoes, depending on the weather). It's very rare that I walk to work in a "good" pair of shoes/boots - I always mention when I do. Thanks, Laurie!
DeleteCool outfit, very 70s. Lise
ReplyDeleteFantastic outfit, Sheila! I love Autumnal colours which are my colours too. I've always loved orange and brown, even when, for a brief period of time, they were considered too 1970s. As if that's even possible :-) The blouse is delightful and does fit you so well.
ReplyDeleteI'm rather envious of all of your leather trenchcoats but so far I haven't been able to find the perfect one myself. As it seems we are sharing weather, I could definitely do with one! xxx
Gorgeous outfit. I'd wear it in an instant though I wouldn't look as good as you. I hadn't noticed the quirky belt until the detail photo. How could I miss that.
