Magenta Gap, Armoured Up, and Plaid Boss Pants

It was so dark this morning, I couldn't do a stair pic.
By the time it was light enough, I had my walking boots on and was headed out the door.

  • Vest - Religion, consignment; last seen here in June for a trip to the periodontist
  • Blouse - Ted Baker, consignment, Seattle; purchased here for $34.99 US
  • Trousers - Karen for Simonsen; last worn here in May with a burgundy duster
  • Boots - Truths Suzie, Fluevog, consignment; last seen here in January for a Mom-Day at Ross Bay
  • Raincoat (below) - Avoca; last worn here in May

My outfit was planned around my day's activity - an office full of people (look profesh!) and a dentist appointment (be comfortable!).
It was also weird weather - it went from the gloomiest grey to hot sunshine to torrential downpour to high winds. They do say about Victoria, "If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes."

I felt appropriately armoured up for all the people - I've gotten used to a quieter office! - and for the dentist.
This mix features my new-to-me Ted Baker blouse that I picked up on our jaunt to Seattle recently.

It was very comfortable to wear and a good colour. It fills a "magenta gap."
It went really well with these plaid trousers - I do love a good Boss Pant!

Outerwear - due to having a vest on (which is a cut-down blazer), I wanted a lighter coat.
I always forget about this one - it's very thin, perfect for these warmish, blustery fall days.

I wore the hood up on the way to work. Rain!
And I didn't wear the coat at all on my trip to the dentist - the sun was shining in a clear blue sky. When I got back to the office, the skies opened up...but I enjoyed a nice walk home with clouds scudding by.

The stuff:
I love these booties - a grommeted ankle boot is my jam.

  • Belt - gift from Ruth
  • Gloves - Parkhurst

How did those gloves sneak in there?

Brutalist bling:
More armour!

  • Bracelets - both Robert Larin, vintage 70s, vintage mall, gifts from L
  • Volcano ring - Mom's, vintage 70s
  • Square ring - thrifted
  • Silver/obsidian ring - vintage mall, gift from L
  • Concrete/silver ring - Raul Caballero, Oui Jewelry, local
  • Earrings - Glee, local

How was your Monday?

  1. Dark mornings are upon us indeed, we left home while it was still dark today. I'm sorry this is playing havoc with your stair pic - what will you do in the next months?
Your outfit is gorgeous, though. The magenta Ted Baker blouse was made for those trousers! Also admiring your brutalist bling!
My Monday was hectic, by the way: tests at the eye clinic and then off to work where my bosses are visiting from Miami. It's only Tuesday and I'm tired already! xxx

  2. That blouse is a great shape and perfect with the trousers.
Your 4 seasons in one day sounds very challenging, we've gone from 24°C to 1°C in a day, madness! xxx
