Striped Jammy Dress and Wavy Boots

My friends, I'm taking a bit of a break, as we've taken some time off prior to the long weekend to celebrate...me! It's my birthday very soon, and Plans Are Afoot!

Today I had to batten down the hatches and prepare the office to not have me for a couple of days. Jammy Dress time!
This is a favourite I bought at Dots during the pandemic, and it's been paired with these boots once before.

  • Dress - InWear; last worn here (4th outfit) in April to see a movie
  • Boots - F-Trip Warhol, Fluevog; last seen here with my Number One dress in August
  • Pleather coat (below) - River Island, consignment; last worn here in April

I've worn this dress six times so far, which is a lot for me.
It's really a "one and done" garment.

Dress, boots, BOOM.
Outfit complete.

If it had pockets it would be an A+.
But I deduct heavily for lack of pockets. B+! Yes, I'm a hard marker.

Outerwear. I was incognito all day, but forgot to put my sunnies on for the pic.
I have a small window of time to wear this faux leather python-print wrap coat. It has no buttons, isn't lined and really isn't warm at all - but it has pockets. It does look good, though!

Accoutrements:
I love burgundy and orange together. Secret bugs delight me.

The stuff:
Stunning boots, and awesomely comfy. I love the wavy pattern of the leather.

Orange bling:
Some of these pieces get put away for the season - I am also looking forward to swapping my jewelry over...

  • Triangle bangle - consignment, Sidney
  • Wooden clip-on earrings - vintage fair
  • Plastic cuff/ring - Italian, vintage mall
  • Steel/Lucite ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted

Vizz and I would like to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
"Nah, let's do your birthday instead."

What a smart kitty you are!

And now, Gentle Readers, I bid you adieu. I'll be back soon.

    1. Thank you so much, Betty! Aren't the boots fun? When you have boots like that, you need to wear them, so it forces me to experiment and try new combinations. I agree, 6 more wears for sure.

  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY in just a few days! And here’s to celebrating in style, as you always do!

Three cheers for your jammy dress! I’m a fan of black & white, and how nicely your dress flatters your figure. Patting myself on the back for having just procured (new but 70% off on sale) a similar dress. Alas, mine is a smidgeon large and necessitates a belt, but a small price to pay for a versatile jammy dress!

Here’s to your weekend and Birthday Monday!
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. Thank you so much, Laurie!

I just love this dress - it's definitely a favourite. Oh, how lovely, you found a fun dress for yourself! Belting is a fun way to play with a shape - even throwing a slimmer knit vest or sweater over it can help disguise that.

  4. I don't think this glorious striped dress and wavy boots outfit could be bettered. The coat is a stunner too, even if you've only got a small window to wear it in.
Enjoy your time off, and I can't wait to hear about your birthday plans! xxx

    1. It's a fun and easy combo, would wear it again, Ann. I nearly wore my Welsh woven coat, but remembered to get a wearing in of this one.
