Black and White and Wings

While my heart belongs to colour (and lots of it), I do hold a fondness for black, especially black and white together. 
I've been amassing black and white prints and mixes for years - and now this splotchy floral-ish skirt joins the collection. 

  • Sweater - Club Monaco, thrifted; last worn here in February with embroidery and cashmere
  • Skirt - Cydney Mar, vintage 90s, thrifted; purchased here for $9.95
  • Shoes - 5YMedio; last seen here in March for a Mom-Day at Beaver Lake
  • Leather jacket (below) - Danier Leather, thrifted; last worn here in April

As I went out to do the stair picture, someone dashed past me into the hallway. 
"Open the door, Woman!"


I'm glad he's still mischievous and active. Sending a bit of love to my colleague Carol who lost her 12-year-old kitty yesterday. Extra hugs for Vizzini! 

Back to the outfit. 
I had to sneak in a wearing of this mesh sheer skirt - it's too cold to wear in fall/winter, and is now tucked away until the end of March (so far away!). 

I've had the sweater since 2019 and this is the 9th time I've worn it. 
I love that the "wings" on the shoulders are trimmed in white to match the ruffle at the hem. 

It's such a fun detail. 
The office was empty today, but I swooshed around whenever I could - this skirt is Swoosh Factor 9! Very swooshy! (and it only rolled into my office chair twice).

Incognito outerwear. 
It's leather weather! I searched for ages, looking for the last wearing of this leather jacket, sure it couldn't be that far back - where has the time gone?? 

Accoutrements: 
I've had my skull scarf for 17 years!

The stuff: 
That's a very easy heel, very comfy to walk in. 

Snaky bling: 
I love having all my spooky season pieces back. They make me happy.

    Very nice. Color is good but there's something appealing about the stark contrast of black and white. Also, we readers keep returning to your blog to hear you say words like "swooshy." :)

    Our boys have got the devil in them this week! There's Vizzini trying to make a break for it and William losing his second posh velvet collar in a matter of days!
    Love this outfit especially that pretty rulle-y jumper. Those snake earrings are to die for! xxx
