Reader Cynthia alerted me to this great post called "How to Listen Your Way to Great Style" and commented that I have learned to listen to myself when it comes to fashion.
here, again, and linking 'cause I love, of course).
Okay, back to outfit talk. I have been wanting to wear this lovely linen/viscose Kenzo jacket for a while - the pinky-reds in it went so well with the bright shoes. I had to sit up straight in order to keep the jacket done up all day. I know I could have worn it unbuttoned, but I was all about the shape today.
- Earrings - vintage fair
- Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
Love how the bright red shoes pop against the white/black graphic skirt. Awesome!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Chrissy! You really can't go wrong with red shoes!Delete
Ahhh - thanks for the mention! The shape you created with this outfit is perfect -- and how great that gorgeous, funky shoes can also be comfortable!ReplyDelete
Thank you for the link! Aw, thanks so much - I love the new shoes!Delete
I agree -- the skirt's pattern is very cool.ReplyDelete
I like that it's not totally symmetrical. Thanks, hon!Delete
Your last couple of outfits this week have been awesome, Sheila - I just had to let you know! You usually look great but these outfits are really something. And those red shoes are just perfection - I wish they sold Fluevogs in Australia.ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Alli! Some weeks they just go well. They DO sell Fluevogs in Australia! This store: https://soledevotion.com/ is Fluevog's "sister" store in Australia. :)Delete
Such a fun outfit and a wonderful first wear of these shoes! :) I agree, you do so well with putting together outfits that both look good on you and that you feel happy in - which really is the only kind of outfits we should be wearing! :)ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Mica! I so agree! We should feel awesome in everything we wear!Delete
Sheila, that fringe looks fantastic, you gorgeous, gorgeous creature. Loved you without it, love you with it. Can you let Alli know that they certainly do sell Fluevogs in Australia! Thanks as always for being a shot-in-the-arm style icon Sheila, I ALWAYS feel inspired by - and grateful for - you posts.ReplyDelete
AW, thank you, Leanne! I did, thank you - I posted a link in my response to her comment. :) That is such a sweet thing to say - I really appreciate it!Delete
Its a fabulous outfit! The skirt, jacket and shoes are marvellous. I love the red lippie on you and look at your hair! It's got so long!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Vronni! Red lippy for the win! I know - it's so odd having long hair.Delete
Great pattern mixing, and those shoes really are amazing!ReplyDelete
Great to see you, Charlotte! Thank you.Delete
Fabulous and funky just about sum up today's outfit. Love the pattern mixing and how your red shoes provide that extra pop of colour. I'll read the link properly later, as I'm a bit strapped for time, but I too want to feel excited about what I'm wearing. That said, I'm currently struggling due to the high temperatures and even playing around with my wardrobe isn't much fun, as it's too hot. Will be glad when it cools off and I can play properly again. xxxReplyDelete
Thanks, Ann! Ugh, extremes of anything are enough to put a damper on fun with clothes. I hope the heat lets up for you soon!Delete
Sheila, that skirt is so flattering to your tush! Wear it every day!ReplyDelete
LOL, thanks, Mel-Bee! I'll try to wear it more!Delete
I've got a doll's house room wallpapered in a similar print to your fabulous skirt so it's a thumbs up from me! xxxReplyDelete
Of course you do, Vix! Ha!Delete
Nice proportions and print mixing. I like to have that "EEEEEEeeee!" feeling when I get dressed too, but it's been so hot here this summer it's difficult to put together an outfit that is very exciting.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Shelley! I know, I am looking forward to slightly cooler weather!Delete
I am going to read that article, but first: WHAT A CLEVER pattern mix !ReplyDelete
This is one of the things that keeps me coming back woman !
Thanks, Lorena! Aw, that's sweet, I appreciate that. :)Delete
