Well, it's Monday. And it's raining. I have not much more to say.
This skirt photographs much pinkier than it actually is - I last wore it here. Before I forget: Visible Monday! Do it! Go check out the other participants here! Yay, Patti!
I belted the jacket this time (last worn here) and layered it over my fun-patterned blouse (last seen here).
Fun lacy tights (another end of season pair for $4.97 from the Gap last spring) and my Fluevog booties (last worn here).
I'm wet, tired and I want soup.
Jacket (Jackpot, consignment), blouse (Marcona, thrifted), skirt (Jacob, thrifted), tights (Gap), boots (Coffee Kope Tiam, Fluevogs), belt/necklace (Shi Studio), buckle (She She Shoes).
Hope you're cozy and dry by now. We had an awful storm this morning, then boiling hot tonight, and supposed to be almost (but not quite) freezing tonight. Getting dressed has become very, very hard! Forget outfit pics with the wind blowing sideways, the big schlopping puddles, and oh, the humidity and my frizzy ol' hair :O
ReplyDeleteBut you always look great no matter what the weather. I love this very sexy silhouette for the office, and those tights are awesome.
Well, I hope you went and ate some SOUP!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, I'm admiring your verve & energy in creating the excitement of another unexpected color combination... You carry it off like no one else can.
Question for you regarding lacy tights - I was wearing a pair today, and ended up with "elephant knees" and likely "elephant ankles" (hard to tell - I was in boots). Do you ever find that lacy tights loose their "tight" faster than others?
ReplyDeleteNo, I've never had a lacy pair get really baggy on me, but I buy expensive (around $20) tights - on sale, of course! Make sure they have a high Lycra content!
DeleteI never had either, before yesterday! These were a gift so could be a cheap tight issue (buy still thoughtful none the less).
DeleteOoh! That jacket.
ReplyDeleteOooh the orange and red look fabulous together. That orange jacket looks so plush. Hope you got yourself warm and dry, and hopefully have warm soup. Nothing like hot soup on a cold rainy day.
ReplyDeleteA post like a Carpenters song! :-)
ReplyDeleteRainy days and Mondays always get me down...
DeleteOrange and red! Perfect colour for a rainy Monday. Really perks up the mood.
ReplyDeleteI love the heel on those Fluevogs. I don't have any shoes from the Coffee family - maybe that needs to change.
Great colours! Love the shape of the jacket and how your blouse, belt, and tights correspond. Hope the warm + dry + soup did the trick!
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying all of your colourful outfits this month! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the printed shirt peeking out at the collar too. Hope you're dry and the soup cheered you up!
Red and orange look wonderful together, sometimes I forget that.
ReplyDeleteI can see that its starting to get chillier in the north...
You look great love the lacey tights ....sorry about the soggy day :( Love the jacket it is really cute ~Hope you got some soup ~Love Heather
ReplyDeleteSend us some of that rain! We're still in a drought! Hope you dried off and warmed up. LOVE this red and orange combo!
ReplyDeleteGreat colours - I hope you then went and had a fiery tomato and chilli soup to match, and to warm you through :0)
ReplyDeleteActually, I had homemade roasted red pepper and tomato soup with carrots - how's that for synchronicity!?
DeleteWhat a fun color combo! I just might "borrow" that idea from you. Looks great with the tights and 'vogs too.
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous in the orange jacket!!! I love the punch of the patterned tights!
ReplyDeleteAmazing outfit!!! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteIf you want, we can follow each other!! let me know!

I wish we could trade places for a couple of days. Here in Arizona it was 90+ today and sunny (as usual!) I could use some rain - I'm all parched and dehydrated after the long hot summer!
ReplyDeleteLove the colorful DEFIANCE of the cloudy weather! xo
Wow, those tights are fabulous! Love the color of the jacket, it looks amazing on you.
ReplyDeleteSheila....I say this often, I know, but red and orange are just your colors. You look so pretty.
