My Stair Picture view this morning.
I'd planned on wearing my Bark Skirt (this one) with this jacket, but it did not work.
The boxy shape of the jacket (plus it's a couple of sizes big on me) meant that with a full skirt my waist was completely lost, even with the belt.
A quick swap over to this new-to-me corduroy pencil skirt and I was good.
I didn't change any of the accessories either! It all worked, thank goodness.
The skirt was lovely to wear - no Velvet/Corduroy rage.
You can see a peek of my full vintage slip at the slit - I had it on for the other skirt and was too cold to remove it.

I deployed the giant skirt pockets frequently.
Outerwear - should have worn a hat. Brrr!
But the rest of me was snuggly warm in my baby alpaca/wool jacket - it's 70% alpaca, so really toasty.

The coat is a herringbone pattern of brown on black (proof here).

That skirt and jacket are perfect together, I love those spicy, Autumnal hues and I'm still wild about that belt. WE've had a few of those foggy starts, they look extra spooky with your castle! xxx

ReplyDeleteI really like the green and orange together, it's a combination I don't wear nearly enough and I like these muted shades of it together, the jacket and skirt are the perfect combination! Such a nice outfit.
