New Snoots and Yellow Armour

I knew this morning would be rough, so I dressed appropriately. YELLOW.
It's the colour I wear when I'm at my very lowest. I needed my Clothing as Armour to keep me calm as I powered through all 190 emails (from a mere 2 days off).

  • Dress - Lida Baday, vintage 90s, vintage fair; last worn here in November 2021
  • Boots - Ivylee, consignment; purchased here for $54.95
  • Coat (below) - L'Atiste, consignment, Vancouver; last seen here a couple of weeks ago

It took me most of the day to deal with everything that happened while I was off.
It was a head-down kind of day. I was glad of the yellow.

It was the perfect match for my new Snoots. What are Snoots? Snakeskin boots!
I know there are a few other bloggers out there with Snoots.

I loved wearing these, although I didn't do much standing or moving around.
I love the wide ankles - they make my legs look even more slim and shapely.

Masked up:
Deploying the pockets. I wore a camisole under this for warmth.

Outerwear. This was fine in the morning, but it was a frigid -1 on the way home.
Snow is in the forecast for the week. Ugh.

That brooch is living on the toque.

  • Toque - gift from Tammy
  • Brooch - Monet, vintage fair
  • Scarf - Pierre Cardin, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Mask - by Mom
  • Gloves - Parkhurst

The stuff:
When I had sandals in this print/pattern, I could not find anything to wear with them - we shall see if these Snoots fare better.

Brass bling:
Bold pieces.

  • Brass/leather cuff - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Slashed brass cuff - Midzo, vintage expo
  • Brutalist rings - vintage 70s, vintage mall
  • Earrings - thrifted

  1. I like how you styled the dress. The boots look lovely.

  2. What a fabulously sunny outfit, you've made me smile this morning.
    190 emails? Ugh.
Snoots? Love it! I may have to dust mine off! xxx

  3. I've got snoots too, and I love wearing them with clashing patterns!
Love yours with mood-enhancing yellow. Hearing you on those 190 emails, ploughing through them is relentless, isn't it? No wonder you needed clothing as armour!
I hope the rest of your week isn't too strenuous! xxx

  4. I've occasionally thought of clothing as armor and get your point. Smart choice.

  5. Snoots! That's brilliant!
Love that shade of yellow and those leopard print tights - great combination!
Looking forward to seeing how you dress for snow. x

  6. The boots look so good with the yellow dress, and that is a LOT of emails! Glad you were stylish and comfortable and bold and colourful for such a busy day!

  7. Lovely yellow dress to bring some sunshine and cheer up any day!, and those boots are lovely too, hope they find a place in your wardrobe! (Snoots!, ;DD)
Totally understand you about having to deal with two hundred emails after a few days out, mwhaha, it sounds like my mondays routine (even worse after holidays!). Sending you support!
