Birthday Gal in Leather

It's my birthday today! Wee! I'm 51. 

 So, of course I wore leather pants!

• Sweater - Boohoo, thrifted; purchased here in July for $14.00
• Leather pants - Gap, vintage store, Vancouver; last worn here in February with Etro
• Boots - Coffee Kope Tiam, Fluevog; last seen here also in February with some crazy pants
• Sleeveless coat (below) - Only, thrifted; last worn here in late September

I felt awesome in this pink and cognac ensemble. My hair even matched!

I loved wearing this pink sweater all day - it's 100% acrylic but not itchy, and it didn't bag out over the day (a big plus).

 The leather pants are magnificent. I have had them for many years and always get a kick out of wearing them.

Outerwear - it's chilly in the mornings, but sunny and warm by the time I go home.

 No gloves - I was sweaty by the time I got home tonight.

I've been spoiled by my friends and coworkers this birthday.

 Prosecco from Sophia, red wine from Christian, a big box of Bernard Callebaut chocolates from Tony, two bars of Lindt chocolate from Scott, Fluevog gift card from my Winesday women, and gift cards from Mom. Thank you!

When I got home tonight from work, I opened my presents from L.

"And from Vizzini. You forgot to mention me."

 My dear husband spoils me. I got new fluffy wool/leather slippers, a pile of books, some funny socks (they say, "I hate people too"), chocolates, a Swarovski crystal bracelet (bought on consignment with me, but I'd totally forgotten about it) and more Fluevog gift certificate money.

Vizzini had to inspect and approve.

"Where is my present?"

 Sorry, buddy, only for me!

Looking forward to another year on this planet.

The future seems so close, and yet so far.
