Turquoise and Long Black Leather

Ah, what a long day - 10 hours put in, but now my Friday is golden. Let's celebrate - wine!
Okay, maybe not (I'm trying to wean myself off the Thursday night wine, ha ha), but I certainly look festive, don't I? Check it out: see how my earrings are swinging? That's how close I am to getting in position before the camera's timer goes off. Yeah, I have that position nailed!

So here we go: a big ol' black leather skirt for work. Why not? It's better than bare legs and a mini (plus I don't have to shave my legs - woot!). I last wore this gorgeously-soft black leather skirt here in January with a chunky sweater on a weekend for Winesday.
The skirt doesn't have a slit for walking, so I have to take smaller steps. Because I walk really fast, it flaps like sails - you can hear me coming!

My second wear of this lovely patterned top (I have a turquoise cami on under it for coverage and warmth in the office.
I last wore it here in April, with an obi and a turquoise skirt. I'm down to $2.25 per wear on it!

The stuff:
I adore these Fluevogs - they are so amazing, both to look at and to wear. I last wore them here in January during Dress Week From Outer Space!

Blue and round bling:
One of these things is rectangular.

Oops, I forgot one!
Yeah, I've got balls.

Blouse (Hale Bob, thrifted), skirt (Danier Leather, thrifted), shoes (Prepare Guide, Fluevog), cuff (Guess, thrifted), blue bird cuff (Shi Studio), choker (thrifted), earrings (gift from Lise), Fulvia Ring (Wendy Brandes).

Stay tuned for Shoe Shine Saturday!

  1. That printed top is so nice! :) I love the colours in it, and those are the perfect teal accessories to pair with it :)

I'm planning to wear nothing by my thongs (flip flops) for the next few days, definitely not shoe-shine material, haha! But thank you for your encouragement :)

  3. I love the print of the top, it is too much fun!!!

I had no idea you were only an inch taller than me - you look so tall in your pictures! I will possibly have to try culottes based on that information!

  4. Whoa! Leather maxi!! I, too, love maxi skirts for the don't have to shave situation! Fluevogs are not usually my personal style, but I dig these blues ones!

  7. That skirt is so fierce - I would love to be able to play in your closet! What size is your waist? I have a brown leather patchwork pencil skirt I'm getting rid of because it's too small for me....
