I just got home from another WW meeting that I led - I fill in for another leader sometimes when she goes on vacation. She's a lovely lady, but I know I made a bit of different impression. Heh.
Especially in a skull cardigan! This is another "fresh" item this month (i.e. not yet worn).I've had this cardigan since January 2011, when Plum closed in Victoria. They had pullover versions of this in Dots that year (it's by Kersh, so no big surprise there!). I paid $26 for this - it's a lovely soft blend with a smidge of cashmere. I first wore it here with a paisley skirt. I last wore it in August 2011 (here, with those same awesome red wedges that are in September's capsule), and also previously in April 2011 (here, with bright blue). So really, not all that much wear for such a cool item.
I paired it with red and coral 'cause it looks so good with the purple, and because there's a skull on the back of the cardi with a red bow on it (picture of that here).
The skirt is my coral pencil skirt (last worn layered over a dress here), and of course, those are my Fluevog flats (last worn here with my polka dot dress). The flats have that black diamond shape on the back, so I did a shiny black belt. The skulls themselves are a taupey-brown colour.
Once I had that bit of black, I knew I'd have to break out the rocker accessories!
I'll give ya a knuckle sandwich! |
I've been doing red lips lately and loving them. Sometimes a bold colour is pretty fun.
Cardigan (Kersh), skirt (Rocket, thrifted), shoes (Impulse Presence, Fluevogs), belt (Bianca Nygard), black cuff (Guess, thrifted), studded cuff (vintage 80s), lapis ring (Wendy Brandes), spider ring (vintage 80s, gift from Mom and Dad), red/silver ring (Oscar & Libby's, gift from Cindy).
I vote you Best Cardi Ever :) It is so cool, purple and skulls together.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd say I enjoyed a knuckle sandwich, but I did. Sort of fixated on the beautiful spider ring :o
Your accessories shot is my favourite! Awesome row of rings, and again with the lovely colour combinations, keen artist's eye. I bet you are the coolest leader ever. Thanks for the story on the back of the outfit - I love that kind of thing too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great sweater Sheila. Looks like it really suits you. I've been enjoying wearing brighter lips lately too. It's really a "pick me up" to the face. I recently saw a woman on Advanced Style's blog talking on a video about her Orange Flip lipstick by Revlon. It looked so good I ran right out and bought a tube for myself.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you shook up the group, you look awesome in your skullwear! And your red, red lips are gorgeous, great with your hair colour. And your accessories are outstanding, especially with the edgy touches.
ReplyDeleteThe brights plus the skulls are so cool - I'd love to own a sweater like this one! (on the hunt at eBay). And the ring mix too - you are fierce today, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually a "skull" person, but LOVE that cardi!!! Just the right touch of whimsy.
ReplyDeleteYikes, better stay out of your way with all that bling you've got on your hands!! Lookss awesome though and that cardigan is all sorts of cool. Nice colors going on here too!
ReplyDeleteI like that red lipstick :)
ReplyDeleteand you are wearing one of my favorite cardigans of yours!
I have been looking for a skull item to add to my wardrobe...

ReplyDeleteOooh the ring party is gorgeous - Like Lynne, I was instantly drawn to the spider one! Creepy and cool.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat luscious colors and skull embellishments! Rock on. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the bold colours and accessories :)
