My time was 1:14, which, although not even close to my personal best of 1:07, was not too bad (remember, I racewalked it). I finished 6,421st overall (out of 13,000+ people), 4th overall in the competetive walking category and 1st in my age division. Yee haw! The gold is mine this year! I will show off the medal when I get it.
Anyway, seeing as I am so sore, I had to wear the jammie dress:
I last wore it last summer (here). It's so comfy and stretchy and I don't have to think about layers or belts or assorted gew-gaws.
Even the stuff was minimal:
I know I haven't been around much lately - life is crazy. I'm hoping things will get back to normal after this week. I miss all your blogs!
Dress (I.N.C.), shoes (Kenneth Cole Reaction, swap from Cat), necklace (gift from Elaine).
Its so cool... but don't the pantyhose detract from the "jammie effect"?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the race results, lady! Very impressive!
ReplyDeletei am so impressed that you do the run (or walk as it may be)...keep it up...you look great...and the dress is really cute!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your EXCELLENT results, Sheila! Well done you're inspiring! Bask in the glory; we'll look forward to hearing more from you when you're rested up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic dress! I love those kind of things you can just throw on and look smashing!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! Love it. Love the colors. Love the pattern. Congrats on the race results! woot woot!
ReplyDeleteSo that's how you maintain such beautiful legs! I should follow your example.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is stellar. Simply stellar.

ReplyDeletethe outdoor stairs- i love this location.
First, congrats on the race - and i am certain you will show that gold !!! 'Cause you are getting it.
Now, on to the dress. It's perfect. I thought I had a jammie dress on but then I realized I had to hold my breath all day long - so no jammie for me.
Congratulations on the medal!! I too wore my pajama dress yesterday. Of course, I threw on tights under is when I got home so I didn't have to sit like a lady... the only downfall to pajama dresses!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress--ain't it great to have something you can throw on without too much fuss? You look great!
ReplyDeletejammie dresses are on my favorites list - people think you're all dressed up AND you're comfy!

'Doll, shhhhh...I didn't shave my legs. The tights were necessary - and they held everything in!
ReplyDeleteWendy, thanks, darlin'!
Alison, thank you! I love the colour too.
Thanks so much, Pam!

Keely, thanks! Same here - it's totally effortless!
Thanks, Kari! I've had it for so long, but I love it.
Shy, oh yeah - racewalking is great for the legs (and the butt!).
Sal, thanks!
Sal Kaye, thanks!
Lorena, it's growing on me. I'm just waiting for one of my neighbours to catch me. It's not a jammie dress if you have to suck anything in!
Cara, thank you, m'dear! Nicely done on your jammie dress!
Paula, oh, yes, it's the best. Thanks, hon!
Thanks, Valleycat!
Whoo, congrats on the race! I love knit dresses like that; they're crazy comfortable.
ReplyDeleteYour backporch poses are fab. So glad you were able to find a new place to shoot when the weather is good!
Thanks, Kristen! Aw, thanks - it's actually a good spot for pics.
ReplyDeleteI don't own many things with patterns. Or many things that are green. But I love this.
