I look so pissed off, but I'm actually just tired. It's 9:20 by the Dolphins clock.
So this is the infamous red jacket that I've been trying to wear for weeks. It's a deep coral so it counts as red in my world, but it's a tricky colour to match anything to, so I have to wear it with neutrals. What better than my black skinnies? I tried these on for a lark last year at Jacob, just so I could have a flashback of 1985 high school, and what do you know - they actually looked all right. They are a little low-waisted, so I was on plumber's crack alert all day in them. Constantly hitching them up.
The sweater has one more fall season left - it's one of the "fill in" items I picked up cheap when I lost weight (I had to replace my entire wardrobe twice - you honestly don't want to spend a lot when you know you're going to have to replace it all again in a few months).
I love the shoes! Aren't they adorable? I like the little peekaboo window - if you're into toe cleavage, these are dreamy. Lovely stacked wood mini-wedge. A close up:Ruth and I went shopping after work, and I got all kinds of new things. From Dots: a lovely orange silk dress (all dresses are on for $25 until April 20th - get down there, ladies!), an orange wrap t-shirt, a light orange cami, and a multicoloured silky poufy skirt (my favourite kind - you really can't go wrong with a multicoloured skirt). I also found a great cotton pant suit at Esprit - navy blue pinstripe. The pants were only $34.95 (regular $74.50) and the jacket was $39.99 (regular $105). I also got some more wood jewelry - I am grooving on wood for spring/summer - a black double hoop pair of earrings, a natural wood disc pair of earrings, a capiz shell and black wood circle necklace. I'll wear most of this in the next couple of weeks. I am looking forward to the end of Casual Month. Ugh. I'm getting so tired of denim.
Welcome to Cynthia - my first commenter ever! She's either my sister-in-law or a friend from Book Club. Or a total stranger. I don't know. Edit: I do know! She's a friend from my old journalling site, Rotten Tomatoes. Yay!
The more I read, the more I find we have in common. I dropped a lot of weight a couple of years ago and went from a size 14 to a size 8, meaning I had to buy two whole wardrobes in a matter of months.(Like you I dress up for work and had to restock from charity shops repeatedly).
