I don't have a lot of grey in my spring/summer wardrobe, so I went hunting in my closet for that first.
- Blouse - Rock & Republic, thrifted; last worn here (3rd outfit in April) for Book Club
- Vest - Ronen Chen, thrifted; purchased here on the weekend for $6.00
- Skirt - Nine West, thrifted; last seen here in July with mustard murmurations
- Sandals - Eject, Vancouver; last worn here in July with Kenzo florals and bold stripes
- Leather coat (below) - Elizabeth and James, consignment; last seen here in June
Next was the chartreuse shirt. This bright acid yellow-green works great with grey.
And it shows my tattoos! I layered a cream cami underneath to hide everything else.
Isn't the vest fun? So shiny!
Of course I had to wear the matching shoes with the blouse.
Which led me to the sheer grey tights because it was cloudy and grey all day. Bare-legged season is over!

Incognito and wearing a coat.
Overnight temps have been dropping down to single digits - it's rather chilly in the mornings.

Turquoise bling:
I liked the little touch of turquoise - it makes the outfit more dynamic.

- Silk scarf - Bill Blass, vintage 80s, consignment
- Silver/turquoise pendant - Karen's
- Silver/turquoise earrings - Mexican, consignment
- Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
- Turquoise ring - Glee
I also changed up my glasses, in case you're wondering what else looks different.
I’m curious to know if you ever closed the one button at the vest points? Your colors, including the turquoise, seem to be saying farewell to summer and hello autumn. :) Most appropriate! We are having similar weather here, with chilly/cold nights, invigorating mornings, delightful days and cool evenings.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday :)
Cheers, Laurie
The vest doesn't have a button or any kind of closure. No, I wouldn't close it anyway - I prefer it open. I'll be doing my closet swap-over soon, and I'm looking forward to the fall colours and textures! I love the weather at this time of year, but it's hard to dress for it! Happy Wednesday back at you and Fred, Laurie! <3
DeleteI love grey and green together! Great combining of elements in this ensemble--they do evoke the color story of greyer skies of this week in the PNW, combined with the bits of yellow starting to show up in the still green trees. . .
ReplyDeleteThose sandals remind me that I too have a pair of sandals in just that shade of green, waiting for me in Tucson; I wonder if I'll have a chance to wear maybe once or twice yet there, because it won't really be fall there yet. Those wedge sandals have been a go to in my shoe collection for over 10 years. . . But I don't wear them up here anymore--too hard to run after my wee granddaughters in heels!
I love how chartreuse goes with pretty much everything! I hope you get to wear your sandals again, even if you can't chase your granddaughter in them! :)
DeleteOooh, I do like your Chautreuse chic! Loving the combo and they go well with the sequin vest!
ReplyDeleteIt's suddenly chilly here too! Brrrrrr!!x
Thanks, Kezzie! Ah, fall, full of unexpected weather changes!
DeleteGreat outfit! Love the swirly skirt and that amazing sequin vest!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Cheryene!
DeleteWhat a fantastic combo! The chartreuse definitely makes your sequinned vest ... err ... shine!
ReplyDeleteBare-legged season seems to be over here too. It's a good thing I don't mind wearing tights! xxx
Aw, thank you, Ann. I do love a good sparkle! I am always happy to go back to nylons and tights. My legs look better in them too!
