Annual Spanish Ladies Dress

Today's Cover My Wrist outfit was inspired by yesterday's trip back to 2013 - it's actually from 2010, bought new at a stall in Camden Market when I was in London with L and Mom. Enjoy my (compared to now very) brief post here.

I'm 13 years older but I'm glad I've kept this dress. I have a bigger closet now than I did in 2010, so like many of my dresses, it gets an annual wear. So many dresses, so little time!
It's always been a favourite of mine - as well as many of you!

  • Dress - Limb; Camden Market, London, 2010; last worn here in August 2022 with Mom
  • Cardigan, no label, thrifted; not tracked
  • Shoes - Seychelles, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in August for a walk with Betty

Mission, cover the arms.
Red cardigan to the rescue!

I've had it for years too - but it doesn't have a label so I am not able to track it.
I enjoyed the comforting feeling of wearing old favourites.

I'm happy the dress still fits! I never took the cardigan off, though.
Showing my not-very-high-tech Rifflandia festival wrist-band - it's nothing special, but if I cut it off, I don't get to go to Party in the Park, the second weekend of music and fun this coming weekend.

My own fault for doing it up too tight! At least I won't forget it.
I have some layers on here: a camisole, sporty shorts and a vintage half-slip (I'm bare-legged).

Incognito, and done up in the Movie Star Wrap in case of rain. It did not rain, so I wore the scarf tied around my neck.
In case you're interested, this is the 26th time I've worn this dress. I did a Flashback here in August 2020, and have styled it three more times since. You can click back through the "last worn/seen here" links above to check those out, if you so desire.

The stuff:
These were a good purchase this past summer - that's a comfortable heel and they're soft enough to wear barefoot.

Ring bling:
I kept my sleeves pulled down - that was hard! I love to scrunch sleeves - so no bracelets.

  • Silk scarf - The Metropolitan Museum of Art, thrifted
  • Earrings - consignment
  • Silver/aventurine ring - consignment
  • Silver/malachite ring - consignment
  • Silver/red enamel ring - antique shop, Sidney
  • Granite/silver ring - Raul Caballero, Oui Jewelry
  • Lobster brooch - Bermuda, Mom's

  1. I am definitely one of the many fans of this dress! Color, pattern, fit and style, all perfect! Given that we have rain now and for the rest of the morning, seeing this outfit delightfully balances the grey outside my window.

Am agog at the difference between the shoes for today and the shoes in your Camden Market post! Yikes!!!

You ARE wearing a bracelet…a concert bracelet. :) or ;)

    Cheers,
    Laurie

    1. I'm so glad it still fits, Laurie! I was a lot skinnier back in 2010! I am happy to be providing you with some brightness in your dull day.

Oh, the shoes, yes, those didn't last long - they were high for me then, when my usual was 3-4" high. I knew I'd eventually have to go low, but it was glorious while it lasted.

  2. One of my favourites too, it's absolute perfection is every way!
    Also loving the lobster brooch!
And I'm glad the mystery of the non-removable wristband has been cleared up. Phew! xxx

    1. Well, it doesn't have pockets, so it's not quite perfect, ha! Thank you! Yes, the wristband was not that exciting.

    1. I used to be so into cardigans, and much of that has faded away - but I always keep a couple for outfits like this! Thanks, Ivana!
