Back to the grind, but of course, I exaggerate. I am lucky to work with a great group of people, and I was in pretty good spirits considering that long weekend was just not long enough.
- Blouse - Mexx, thrifted; last seen here in September 2018 with pops of yellow
- Skirt - J. Crew, thrifted; purchased here for $6.95
- Shoes - Prepare Hi Steady, Fluevog; last seen here in August 2018 with neoprene and silk
- Leather jacket (below) - Kenzie, consignment; last worn here in April with a sunshine orange jumpsuit
I like this blouse, but I think this is the last wearing of it. I've had it for under a year, and paid $13.95 for it, and this is the 3rd time I've worn it.
The skirt was amazing to wear - gorgeous thick wool.
I'm noticing that the indoor morning pictures don't turn out as well as the stair picture or the "stuff" picture (which is taken when I get home in late afternoon). They look a bit grainy and the colour is off. I shall have to mess about with the settings for those.
Outerwear - I loved how this soft yellow jacket looked with the outfit.
- Belt - vintage 70s, Mom's
- Bracelet - Butler Fifth Avenue Collection, consignment
- Amber ring - c. 1996
- Aventurine/silver ring - consignment
- Earrings - vintage fair
Your mum's vintage 70's belt looks pretty styled with that gorgeous Mexx blouse and J. Crew pencil skirt!!! You styled yet another very attractive outfit - I love the look.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much!Delete
Oh, what a shame, I've always loved that top, and it's looking particularly striking with your new green skirt and the vintage 1970s belt (I'm now wondering whether the one I've found is 1970s as well). Those Disco Dutch (love that name!) shoes are amazing too! The whole outfit is a winner for me, but I know very well that when you're not feeling something, it's better off elsewhere. Glad to hear you're feeling better and went back to work in good spirits. Now, where did I put mine? xxxReplyDelete
I like it too, but I feel like I've exhausted all the possibilities for it with my wardrobe. I think your belt is definitely around the same era as this one. One of my coworkers named the shoes that when I first bought them. Hope your high spirits come back soon, Ann! Thank you so much for dropping by.Delete
I do love the yellow jacket with that skirt! I'm glad you're really smiling--- I'm behind on blog posts so I have to catch up with what's happening with everyone.ReplyDelete
I know it's all about the lighting with pictures, but I'm horrid at it so I have no advice.
Me too, Becky - I loved how it looked. Sometimes the smile is in the "fake it till you feel it" category - you know how that can be.Delete
No worries - I really don't care all that much about my pics, ha ha!
Dutch Disco Shoes - what can I say? They're blooming awesome my dear and totally steal the scene. Were you wearing something with them? I didn't really notice xReplyDelete
Nope, just the shoes, nothing else to see here, Anna, ha ha!Delete
I do think this is a striking outfit! Wool is always nice to wear, isn't it!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Kezzie! I love wool - give me real fabrics, every day!Delete
I like the green and yellow together! :) It's nice you enjoyed your weekend and you're refreshed and relaxed for the work week! :)ReplyDelete
Me too, thanks, Mica! It was a really relaxing weekend - and a nice short week!Delete
sorry that you don't feel the blouse anymore, as it looks cool!, and I love this outfit, the color combo, the accessorizing and the fabulous shoes (they're totally my taste!;D) and you look adorable in your leather jacket, very elegant with a retro vibe!ReplyDelete
Having to get used to a new device takes some time, but your pictures will improve quickly when you do it!, for sure!!
It is cool, and I'm glad I bought it, but I'm done with it now. Heh, we share similar taste in shoes!Delete
I hope so - I still haven't figured out my indoor shots.
Pencil skirts rock! I like the lines they provide and they always look purrrfect on you. :)ReplyDelete
They totally do! Aw, thanks, Laurie! Great to see you again!Delete
LOVE the Disco Dutch shoes, they're definitely to my taste! XReplyDelete
So pleased to be able to comment again! Nice to be an active participant!ReplyDelete
Yay, thrilled to have you back, Laurie!Delete
The pencil skirt fits beautifully. There is something very "Mad Men" like in this outfit, what a great set-ReplyDelete
Thank you! The neckline of the blouse didn't quite work for me but I did love the print. The skirt is in my winter pile!Delete
