Another item that I pulled as a regret-me-not from the giveaway pile was this skirt.
- Sweater - Alice + Olivia, consignment; last worn here (3rd outfit) in April with a ginormous tie-dye skirt
- Bustier - Le Chateau, consignment; last seen here in June 2017 with ruffles and leopard
- Skirt - All Saints, gift from Dominique; last worn here (4th outfit) in September with boots and a green sweater
- Shoes - Hispanitas; last seen here (3rd outfit) with this same sweater (weird) in April
- Coat (below) - Lord & Taylor, thrifted; last worn here on Tuesday
There are so few really interesting skirts out in the world (really, most skirts are not that interesting), so why I would pull this fabulous, pouf-tastic, neutral-patterned skirt from my closet and put it in the giveaway...?
This was a pretty "out there" outfit for me, even though everything's neutral.
I liked how the plaid went with the snaky-looking pattern of the skirt (which is actually little lilies-of-the-valley and stripes). Pattern mixing!
It was at about this point this morning that Vizzini and I had a cuddle.
"This is between you and me."
The camera was handy from taking pictures of him last night.
"It'll ruin my reputation if these are published."
Reputation ruined! Vizzini has turned into quite the cuddle-monster.
Back to the outfit. Covered up from the sun, and for the slightly cool morning.
- Belt - gift from Ruth
- Necklace - the Bay
- Steel cuff - thrifted
- Bracelet - Fossil, gift from L
- Earrings - Fossil, thrifted
These are the pictures I took of Vizzini last night while L and I watched a movie.
"Is this really necessary, Woman?"
Both of his back feet (both white) are curled forward, with one arm hanging down. That is one chilled-out kitty.
One more for the road. I left Vizzini snoozing on the "cuddle chair" with his crown pillow.
"I'd rather sleep on your lap."
Time to go fulfill that wish!
I will be back on Sunday with tales of adventure! Thank you - as always - for stopping by.
Such a cute outfit!! Love your cuddly guys, too!ReplyDelete
Thank you. Such lovely boys.Delete
Actually, you and Vizzini have matching outfits ;-) What a skirt! I'd probably have worn it with just the neutral top, but I'm glad to see you've been more adventurous by adding the bustier and that awesome necklace! Aww, Vizzini! Phoebe is currently looking as if butter wouldn't melt, but she's actually caught and killed a mouse today! Have a fabulous weekend, Sheila! xxxReplyDelete
We do! His is pure white, though. I liked the extra element from the bustier.Delete
Phoebe is a mouser! What a good kitty.
Wow! I adore that outfit! That bustier and skirt are perfect, at first I thought you wore a dress. What a punky romantic style! Love it! Enjoy your weekend.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Nancy - this falls into my "soft goth" look.Delete
That is one awesome outfit! I love everything about it. What a fantastic skirt and a keeper for sure! Love seeing pics of Vizzini and he looks like king of the cats with his crown pillow.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Cheryene! I'm really glad I kept the skirt. Vizzini is the king in our house - he thinks so, anyway!Delete
I'm glad you recovered the skirt - it is so fun and I love the print mix and the silhouette of this outfit! :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Mica! I really liked how the print-mixing went.Delete
Wow. What an amazing article of clothing. If you get tempted to discard something this wonderful, call me first; if I can possibly fit into it or have it tailored, I'll buy it from you.ReplyDelete
I may just do that, Ally!Delete
So many retrievals lately from the give-away pile! I thought you were Ironwoman about giving clothes away, good to know that you are a lot like us other fashun people! I couldn't put a number to all the things I've fished out of the give-away pile, and I still have a few regrets about things that got-away! Here's to second chances!ReplyDelete
Nope, I'm willing to admit when I've made a mistake and pulled something back - this is nothing new, Gerrilyn!Delete
Hey, you're matching your cat in your outfit!ReplyDelete
The skirt is a bit "out there", you're right, but sometimes you need a bit of "out there" in your life.
How true, there aren't many overly interesting skirts in the world, and this is one of them! X
I am! I love the "out there" stuff - it nearly always has a home with me.Delete
It's good to match Vizzini, he's such a stylish beast!ReplyDelete
Thank goodness you rescued that skirt from the giveaway pile, it's another circusy look, Absolutely fabulous. xxx
He is! I know, I am really glad I grabbed it back.Delete
This is a totally kerpow outfit! I love it and would snatch it from you if I could. Great pattern play, and thank goodness you're keeping that awesome skirt xReplyDelete
Thanks, Anna! I was so pleased with all the patterns! I know, what was I thinking??Delete
My comments don't see to show up. Let me try again ;)ReplyDelete
The new camera is sure paying off, the pictures look bright, clear and perfect.
Love the MCQueen vibe this outfit.
Oh no! You don't have to be logged in to comment, Lorena. Thanks so much - I'm happy with the new camera.Delete
I saw YOUR McQueen!!
