Bouncing back with an outfit I'm happier with! Yellow always lifts my moods - I always include it in my fall/winter wardrobe to fight the blahs.
- Blouse - Roche de Paris, vintage 80s, vintage fair - purchased here for $34.95.
- Skirt - handmade, thrifted; last seen here in February with flowers, dots and chains
- Shoes - Celestial Communication Andromeda, Fluevog; last seen here in November 2018 with giraffe and cashmere (and yeti)
- Suede coat (below) - Prosper & Devine, antique store; last seen here in December 2018
This silk blouse was divine to wear - it's that really thick 80s sandwashed silk. My coworkers were amused by the 80s pixelated rose print. This is from back when computers were new and strange!
I've had many yellow skirts over the years and this is the best one.
link). Sweet, thanks, Emily! I did feel rather smokin' today!
I wish I was still in bed face.
Outerwear - it's windy, clear and chilly with a few clouds. That's Leather Weather!
- Scarf - faux Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
Shaking it up with some bubblegum pink fringe!
Hello darling and don't you look fine and dandy in yellow and pink! I'm having a bit passion for yellow at the moment - we really need that sunny colour in our lives sometimes don't we? Am rewinding to find out all the latest with you. All seems well with you today, so I'll not fret too much about what has happened in my absence - life clearly goes on without me. Hugs to you for all your comments - you're a star xxxReplyDelete
I do love those colours together - yes!! Aw, thanks, Anna, hugs right back at you!Delete
All hail the Goldenrod skirt! If that wasn't a fabulous piece already you go and add some pink fringe. You are a smokeshow! xReplyDelete
It's lovely, isn't it, Vix? Pink fringe for the win!Delete
That is such a fun skirt and I completely agree with wearing colourful things to help boost your mood - that's the reason why I almost always have something colourful in my outfits, haha! usually bags mostly though! It's a beautiful blouse too. You look fab!ReplyDelete
It really works! I love how you incorporate colour in your outfits, Mica, especially those gorgeous bags. Thank you!Delete
Love your goldenrod skirt, it's such a fab color and the shape is lovely too!, also lovely blouse and shoes, they make such a gorgeous outfit!. Total bombshell!! ;DDReplyDelete
Aw, thanks, Monica!Delete
Love the skirt, love the shoes.ReplyDelete
I can't put this into words but coming here and admiring your fashion choices always makes me feel good. You're like a national treasure. (Or, since you're Canadian, an INTERnational treasure!)
Aw, thank you, Ally, I really appreciate that! Hugs.Delete
I'd never heard of the word "smokeshow" either, but Emily was spot on! That goldenrod skirt is such a fabulous shape and colour, and it looks even more fabulous paired with the silk monochrome blouse. Adding the tentacle coat (I was grinning when I read that) was the icing on the cake! Holy smoke! xxxReplyDelete
It was totally new to me - and I had to ask her again (and email it to home!) so that I remembered it. Thank you, Ann! Ha, I know, the tentacle coat - such a fun name.Delete
Love that coat! I had one like that, only in boring brown, in the 80sh. I was always dancing when I wore that coat.ReplyDelete
Just like I do in my pink one, Nancy!Delete
Ha ha, "smokeshow" is new to me too but I like it so much I'll make a point to use it today! I think those shoes make that outfit! Meow! The fringy coat is too cool! Thanks for sharing, Sheila!ReplyDelete
Awesome, Mel-Bee! Thank you - I agree on the shoes.Delete
A smokeshow rockstar! This skirt is all kinds of fabulous, it looks so well made and fits like magic. I really like this, specially that topper before going out the door, like cherry on top-ReplyDelete
Thanks, Lorena! Yeah, I couldn't just do boring black for my outerwear!Delete
Love the yellow skirt, Shiela, and how you use it to cheer yourself up in winter (and everyone around you too, I'm sure)! XReplyDelete
Definitely needed at times, Jess! Thank you!Delete
My gosh woman, that skirt fits you like a DREAM!ReplyDelete
Why, thank you.Delete
