I'm a Delicate Flower

I usually amend that to "I'm a delicate f**king flower" but I don't want to offend anyone with a swear in the post title. Hee! I'm not really delicate.
But I did feel very floral and bright today!

  • Blouse - Cabi, consignment; first worn here in March in a nearly identical outfit
  • Goldenrod skirt - no label, thrifted; first worn here in April with the cranes top
  • Boots - Miz Mooz; last worn here in March with a pleather dress
  • Coat (below) - Thermal-Slicks, consignment; last spotted here in September

I had been iffy on this blouse when I first wore it, but I loved it today and had good reactions from my coworkers.

One of the downsides to clothing with no labels is that it is tricky to find when I last wore them (I use the search field in the upper left corner of the screen and search a brand name or key word...and then I go scroll, scroll, scroll until I find it). I thought I'd named this label-less skirt the "Marigold skirt" but no, I actually named it the "Goldenrod skirt". Having typed both of these words in this post, I'll now be totally able to find it next time. Ha ha! I feel very clever.
Loved this skirt, but I'm regretting all the chocolate I ate this past weekend. Ah well, screw it, it was my birthday!

It was spitting rain today, so I wore my lovely PINK raincoat.
I felt very bright and visible - I'm a delicate spring flower, caught in the rain (guffaw).

  • Fur scarf - thrifted
  • Fingerless gloves - Parkhurst

The stuff:
These boots are getting beat up. I'm going to start looking around for a replacement. I may need to make a trip to the Fluevog store...

Delicate bling:
I go through phases in jewelry; sometimes I like big bold stuff, and sometimes I like delicate. This necklace/earrings set were purchased on deep sale at Plum (aw, I miss Plum) about 10+ years ago. They are crystal (a smoky olive green colour) and gold, and very light and lovely to wear.

  • Necklace/earrings - Plum
  • Green crystal ring - consignment
  • Amber ring - c. 1998

  4. Superb color combination. The final touch of the pink jacket was the best choice.

    1. Thank you, Lorena! I thought so too - it would have been easy to go with a dull colour, but pink was the best choice in the end.

  5. That pop of yellow is divine at this time of year Sheila, and then to add the pink raincoat is totally over the top fabulous. Are we going to be treated to a shopping trip for you to spend your FV vouchers? Oh, I do hope so!
