Hola! Here we are with another outfit.
I knew at some point I would have to wear This Skirt with These Shoes. And this is it.The skirt is my lovely vintage 80s Roland Kerry piece, last seen here in July with "go" items instead of "match" items.
I really am more of a matchy person than an "it goes" person, when it comes down to it. Take this red no-name cardigan (last seen here in June with a plaid dress that I really must wear again soon) - perfect match.
I had originally done a yellow belt, but the black worked better with the black simple top underneath (last seen here in June for Book Club).
The stuff:
I always hesitate over these shoes. They are quite high, but comfortable. I just have to make sure that I wear a lower heel the next day and I also have to step just right or I'll step out of them. Since I tend to fall down frequently, I am always on alert. I last wore these here in April (yikes! I have blonde hair!) with red and oranges - I like that outfit.
Big ol' bling:
I like having black jewelry without too much metallic. That stretch rose cuff bracelet has make it through several jewelry culls - not bad for a cheap piece.
Cardigan (no-name, consignment), top (Mossimo, consignment), skirt (Roland Kerry, vintage 80s, consignment), shoes (Friis & Co.), belt (Bianca Nygard), cuff (Le Chateau), earrings (the Cobbler).
OMG This is fabulous! Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm generally more of a match person than a 'go' person. But I tend to also be drawn to the same things over and over. I love the extra detailing to the black top. I've been trying to follow your lead and buy more interesting layering shirts.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of that plaid. And with the red sweater...perfection! BTW, have you tried heel pads for shoes that slip? These:

I second Une femme's recommendation. I wear EE to 4E shoes and have narrow heels, and use those heel pads often!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful colours in the skirt, and picking out the red and purple looks beautiful. Oh those shoes are divine but they would be too high for me... xxxx
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt so much. Matching makes me happy, and I am not ashamed!!! Nicely done here with the great shoes and excellent red sweater, and even your purple glasses, yay!
ReplyDeleteShame those shoes aren't the best, as they are very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm definitely more of a match person - I tend to find that easier than wearing things that "go" as when I don't have anything matching I feel like something is off, haha.
The skirt is amazing. And, paired with those shoes, they could take over the world.
ReplyDeleteThe taffeta plaid skirt of awesomeness!! LOVE it--i think the pop of the red and purpple shoes grounded with all the black makes the skirt the STAR!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the matching - the purple and red go so nicely with the skirt! I have a pair of shoes like that too where I have to walk just right or I'll step out of them!
ReplyDeleteHola Sheila !
ReplyDeleteI see your spanish greeting ;)
I have to say these colors look sophisticated, the skirt exudes and I don't know what that I just like.
This is such a HAPPY outfit! Yay!
