Yesterday, I got up early and went to my WW meeting. I thought I'd try wearing this Smoking Lily dress backwards for a change of pace.
I last wore this dress here - and I am going to miss wearing it when June's capsule kicks in. Heck, I'm going to miss wearing it for the rest of the year!I'm also wearing my Smoking Lily obi:
And of course, my blue suede shoes (last seen here). I love how the blue and green and purple all work together.
The back:
I do like versatility in my clothing!
I wore this out to lunch, walking around town doing errands and going to a birthday dinner for a friend.
Don't forget to check out Patti's Visible Monday!
Dress and obi (Smoking Lily), shoes (Feet First), earrings (local).
I love a backwards dress! (or sweater, or blouse). This looks wonderful, and you are rocking blue suede shoes like me today : > Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to see that dress tucked away... xx
ReplyDeleteI love every part of this outfit. I miss Smoking Lily...
ReplyDeleteSo much fabulous in this outfit. The scoop back on that dress is very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress!!
ReplyDeleteKim,USA
Love the belt. Love the shoes. Love coming to your blog and always being inspired.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it can be one of your special occasion items that don't have to be in the monthly plan. It's too amazing to be completely packed away!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, you've outdone yourself with the vivid color in this outfit. You've got me wondering if there is any dress in my wardrobe I could possibly wear backwards.
ReplyDeleteI looooooooooooooooove everything about this outfit! You really know how to play with colors and make it all work.
ReplyDeleteHey, while you take a break from wearing this dress, I'd be happy to "borrow" it for awhile, LOL!:)
Eee, love love love all the bright colors. The dress looks just as great backwards, and shows of your lovely artwork ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, it's my favourite obi belt again!! And I love that flirty back with the backwards dress. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous dress! Really nice that you can wear it back to front too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely gorgeous dress. It looks fabulous on you with that marvellous belt!
ReplyDeleteGreen and blue is one of my absolute favorite color combinations. I love the purple accent with it. You look just stunning in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI love a dress with a back cut-out. Beautiful colors, and we get to see your tattoo; a winner all around.
ReplyDeleteI like the color combination and it fits you very well.
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit, you are so clever putting together colour combinations :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous--what a stunning color combo!!
ReplyDeleteYouy can't repeat items in capsules in different months??
Tamera, good question!
DeleteI'm choosing not to repeat items, at least not right now. One of the goals of doing this year-long challenge is to get more wear out of the things that I own, especially those items that languish in the back of my closet while items that I love (like this dress!) get worn instead.
Your dress is so pretty, I know we've seen it before, but I really do love it on you!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you can turn that dress backwards! A woman once told me, "I love a dress that speaks to you from the back. You don't need a dress to talk from the front, it's your face that should be the focus." I never really paid attention before, but after her words of wisdom, I realized I do like a dress that can "talk" from the back.
ReplyDeleteSmoking HOT in that Smoking Lily !
ReplyDeleteWao Sheila you look spectacular.
I dunno if I'd have the willpower to keep such an amazing dress out of rotation most of the year. Love the backwards option!
ReplyDeleteSheila, who knew you had a tattoo. Looks so good with the dress!
ReplyDeleteI believe THIS is one of my favorites. You look striking in it, Sheila!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous colors on gorgeous gorgeous YOU!
ReplyDeleteLove your colors! So yummy! I want green now! :-)
