Well, I'm tired. My company had a "Games Night" and since I'm on the Social Committee (of course I am!), and I love games, I had to participate. We had Subway, beer, wine, pop, and played all kinds of board games. I brought a bunch of Fluxx games, but played Settlers of Cataan and Carcassonne. I kicked butt at Carcassonne, heh heh.
And this is what I wore:
The second wear of the block-y sweater that doesn't suit me. I feel like I have to at least try to work items into more outfits, even if I know that they aren't going to survive the cull at the end of the month. Besides, I like how the pale green of the stripe goes with the pale green tweed of the skirt. I last wore the sweater here (2nd outfit).I love this mystery skirt (last worn here); there's no chance of me giving it up.
Even belting the sweater didn't help.
This is only the second wear of the shoes (last worn here) this month, which is a shame, because they are great shoes and very comfortable for a 3" heel.
I was asked in the comments the other day if any of my coworkers have noticed the repetition in my clothing. Yes, they have, but then most of them know about my challenge. They like to see my different outfits, and especially respond to the brighter coloured ones, although in outfits like this, I get more comments on the specific items, like the skirt or the shoes.
Sweater (Guess, thrifted), skirt (no label, thrifted), shoes (Hilary Radley, consignment), belt/bracelet (Club Monaco), earrings (Plum).
I like the combo of the sweater and skirt together, sorry you're not feeling the love with the top! I think it looks really nice belted :)
ReplyDeleteI love the soft greens, blending into each other, very nice! I agree the sweater doesn't have enough *curve* to it to be your best piece. Wonderful color for you, though.
ReplyDeleteOh game night sound fun!! What a great way to get to know your co-workers in a different environment!
ReplyDeleteI still adore the mystery skirt, so pretty and so flattering on you!
That skirt is stunning and so you!
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is definitely a keeper. I do like it with the top (and the top look so soft) but I can see why you're not in love with it.
ReplyDeleteGame night is a great idea! My office just goes out drinking.
I love the colors of the outfit, but the shirt is just one of those ill-shaped striped shirts. I wish I could gather some friends together to play games. I adore scrabble and most of my friends are big nerds and are super good at it. I think it's great your co-workers are so supportive of your sartorial choices.
ReplyDeleteI like this top belted--a good solution for the boxy sweater. Will you keep it?
