Super Stripes and A Fluevog A Day - Teapot Sencha

And we are down to the last day of Super Stripes Week! Although I do adore a theme week (it really makes planning easier when you have a restriction), it was tricky to work both stripes and Fluevogs together, and as result, three pairs of my new Fluevogs will be worn next week.

Anyway, my stripes today are this glorious yellow shirt (first seen here):
I love the bright yellow, but it's a bit limiting with what you can wear with it. After all, it IS bright yellow with a green and blue stripe. So I went with the bright green cardi (last seen here).

I was a little tired this morning...
I liked how the cherry-red shoes went with this. Lots of people checked them out.

My job is going well, but I really miss the time I used to spend reading all your blogs - and I'm going to try to visit all my favourites this weekend! Thank you for putting up with me!

A shot of my bleary self: I liked the splash of red that the necklace gave.

Here are my Fluevogs of the Day:
They are from the now-defunct Teapot family (see how the heel looks like a teapot spout?) and are called the Sencha. These are probably my most comfortable pair of Fluevogs - I actually ran for the bus in these today! I gave them a polish last night because they were getting quite scuffed, and now they are all fab again. I last wore them here, but here are some shots of the (now worn off) sole and the lovely details.

The stuff:
Fun necklace!
Have a great weekend! I have some exciting news hopefully coming...

Cardigan (Kersh), shirt (Ralph Lauren, thrifted), skirt (Bebe, swap from Caro), shoes (Teapot Sencha, Fluevog), necklace (Plum), earrings (Aldo Accessories).

  1. Oooh love the color combo here. I've really got to try pairing red and green together (and try not to look like Christmas) - This look is a good reference for that.

I'm actually more fond of the heel shape on the Teapots than the Coffee heel, though I love them both. The Teapot just looks more stable to walk.

Thanks again for fitting Stripes Week into your new job outfits. Congrats again on the new job. I hope it's going well for you.

  5. Actually I think Dimi is right - you've missed a new job trick - stylist would have been a fab job for you :-) Or Image Consultant! Are those careers you have ever considered?

I've loved the stripes week, and the fluevogs, oh the fluevogs - I have shoe envy :-)

  7. Thanks, Megan - yes, tricky not to look too festive (I have the same issues with orange and black!). I've found both heels very stable, actually! Thank you for hosting Stripes Week! It's been a blast!

goodbadnfab, thank you for reading! I will visit your blog.

Dimi, thank you so much - you've been very kind. Ha, that would be a fun job!

Karen, thank you - I liked the extra pop of red.

Tat, oh, pffft, I just put together what I like. I used to like doing it when I worked in women's clothing retail, though. Thanks so much!

Rita, first new pair is coming on Monday! I'm glad you've been enjoying my shoes.
