Feeling Nautical

Ahoy-hoy! All I needed was a little white sailor hat and I'd be ready to go hang out with the kazillions of sailors in town right now. It's the Canadian Navy's centennial (we are a pretty young country, remember) and in celebration, about a zillion ships are in town.
I got this cardigan on the weekend for $18. I love the bright blue and I thought it toned nicely with the navy blue in the skirt (still not doing any black, but just in a casual non-challenge-y way).

The stuff:
Oh, the shoes! These were my first of three pairs of Poetic License shoes (2 from here, 1 from London). How I love their floofy bow and crazy platform.

Cardigan (Jessica, consignment), cami (RW & Co.), skirt (Odd Molly, consignment), shoes (Poetic License), cuff (Oscar & Libby's), earrings (Plum).

  1. I love Poetic License! And might I add, you've been looking UBER awesome lately -- what are you doing differently? You are stunning! (You've always been stunning; you know what I mean, though: you're PARTICULARLY stunning these days).

  2. Love the pattern on your skirt! AS the temps go up, I'm craving more nautical themed clothes. Thinking of coolll refreshing waves.

  3. How pretty!
I am trying to put together a couple of sailor looks that do not look too "costumy"
You know that idea to braid the belts as you commented on my post seems interesting thanks for the heads up...!

  4. What a great outfit! I was going to comment on the cute little cardi, but then the skirt is fabulous and so are the shoes - spoilt for choice!

What a wonderful wardrobe you have, Sheila!

  6. Julia, me too - after Fluevog, I think they are my favourite. I've been doing nothing differently, just keepin' on. But you're sweet and it does this old gal's heart good, so thank you, hon. :)

    Nerines, thank you!

    Thanks, Wendy!

Megan, yeah, the skirt was a Major Find.

Lorena, it's a challenge, isn't it? Glad you might be able to use the braided belts idea! I take no credit for it.

Thanks so much, Cat! I do take pride in my wardrobe, so thank you.

Marie, welcome and thank you! I appreciate your comments!

Thanks, Kim! Ooh, let me know what you get!
