As advertised, this is a vintage Kenzo denim jacket and skirt.
- Denim suit - Kenzo, vintage 80s, consignment; last seen here in January with bits of green
- Blouse - Nanette Lepore, thrifted; last worn here in February when I was a pirate for the VFF Gala
- Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last seen here in April with a thrifted 80s Akris dress
Whenever I wear this suit, I get compliments - it's a very thick 100% cotton denim with a navy-black floral pattern printed on the reverse, which is dark indigo.
I keep this suit in my closet all year - it's too lovely not to have out.
I have a vintage camisole on, plus sporty shorts under the skirt.
One of these days I'll wear the pieces separately.
I briefly went jacket-less in the morning. I always plan for this and ensure I have enough underpinnings on.
Incognito. I got a few looks on the bus.
I did not need the scarf by end of day and crammed it into my backpack.

I think what makes the suit super interesting is the yellow with it. It works so perfectly. I wish you a great vacation, we have 2 weeks as of tomorrow!

I do so admire your vacation schedule as you manage to take sufficient breaks from work throughout the year. Sometimes it's long weekends due to public holidays and other times it's time you take for yourself. Either way, it's a lesson in how to make the working life palatable.
ReplyDeleteLovely suit in every way possible - fit (perfect), lends itself to a variety of tops and accessories, can be professional or, as separates, probably fun and funky. I could see wearing this with a solid color short sleeve tee (or maybe a certain type of pattern) and shoes that match the tee.
