7-Year Repeat of Green Lace and Pink Flamingo

Hello, my friends! I'm repeating an outfit today, even after claiming at some point that I NEVER repeat outfits.
That's a bold claim! But I have worn this top and skirt together before.

  • Top - Scotch & Soda for Maison Scotch, consignment, Vancouver; last worn here in September 2023 with windowpane plaid
  • Skirt - Alfred Sung, vintage, consignment; last seen here in April 2023 with jungle Adidas
  • Sandals - Wonders; last worn here in June for a Mom-Day at Government House

It's not a fully identical outfit.
Seven years is a long time... enjoy looking at it here (2nd outfit) in July 2017!

Or, in case you don't feel like clicking through...
My hair has changed.

I no longer have those shoes or the jewelry.
But these pieces haven't become dated - I still like them together and apart.

I always wear a camisole under the top (the back is pretty much sheer - enjoy my tattoos).
The skirt is a gem - old Alfred Sung, green lace roses, ragged hem. Timeless!

Incognito and feeling sassy.
The top has a pink flamingo on it (and a couple of carp!), plus lotuses and flowers.

Accoutrements, stuff and bling:
I over-efficiented myself by putting all the jewelry away on auto-pilot when I got home from work. No bling picture!

  • Scarf - Fluevog
  • Necklace - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Green crystal bracelet - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Gold/pink bracelet - D'Orlan, vintage mall, gift from L
  • Olivine/coral ring - Hawaii c. 1976, Mom's
  • Sparkly cocktail ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Earrings - Stella & Dot, consignment, Vancouver

All things I've loved for years. There's a comfort to falling back on old favourites, isn't there?

  1. You had excellent cause to repeat that outfit -
it looks absolutely gorgeous every time you wear it!
The colours and artistic graphic artwork on that Scotch + Soda Top are beautiful!
The color, fabric, texture and hemline of the vintage Alfred Sung skirt look very pretty as well.
All of your mum's vintage jewellery looked very pretty styled with that outfit,
and your hairstyles looked pretty both then and now!
Yes, there is indeed a comfort in the enjoyment of old favourites.
    It is a lovely OOTD!

  4. Your color combination of greens and pinks has just confirmed my idea for a new crochet sweater!

  5. Wow. In addition to your styling prowess I'm always impressed by your organization and memory. Both far exceed mine.

  6. I love how you sheer top shows off your tattoos in a subtle way.
The combination of pinks and greens is a winning one.
That green skirt is so lovely, and it looks great paired with that top.
The pink scarf and the pink platform heels are fabulous too.
I do repeat outfits pretty often, but I usually try to change up something about them, so that they aren't identical.

  8. The skirt is a gem, I love its cut and sparkle. Also standing out is the pink (rose?) gold bracelet and sparkly shoes, both of which take me back to favorites of mine from high school. (No longer have the sandals/shoes but still have the bracelet, which was my Mom’s.)
Perfect outfit along with your recent flattering haircut!
    Cheers, Laurie
