Jungle Adidas, Green Lace and the Fuzzy Flamingo

Today's outfit was built around another Adidas piece that I recently procured - this jungle-print bomber jacket.
It irks me that all of the pinks in this outfit look like different shades in the pics - they were nearly identical in person, as my coworkers noted.

  • Jacket - Adidas, consignment, Vancouver; purchased here for $34.99
  • Shirt - Denver Hayes, consignment; last worn here with more Adidas and greys in March
  • Skirt - Alfred Sung, vintage 80s, consignment; last seen here in April 2022 for a Mental Health Shop
  • Shoes - Sam Edelman, consignment; purchased here for $65.00
  • Coat (below) - Auckie Sanft, vintage 60s, vintage fair; last worn here in January

I am a fan of the contrast of the sporty jacket with the metallic green lace skirt.
I've had the skirt since 2009 - it's gorgeous quality.

It's one of the few lace pieces I have in my closet.
I believe this is its 22nd wearing?

That's awesome.
Jungle print plus geometry in the gridded sleeves.

I didn't wear the jacket done up at all. Maybe next time.
Showing off the pockets.

Trying work up enthusiasm for my day. Work, oh yay.
All this pink does make me feel happier though.

Accoutrements:
More pink.

  • Scarf - Alexander McQueen, consignment
  • Gloves - consignment

The stuff:
These pink suede shoes were comfy, for ballet flats - they're fine in the office or for a light shopping trip.

Green bling:
I kind of went to town on the green, didn't I?

  • Enamel/metal bangles - thrifted
  • Glass bangle - thrifted
  • Silver/malachite bangle - Mexican, thrifted, Sidney
  • Silver/aventurine ring - consignment
  • Ball ring - Sidney
  • Earrings - Stella & Dot, consignment, Vancouver
  • Necklace - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Brooch - Coro, vintage fair

I wore the brooch at the collar of the shirt, a favourite 80s accessory style.

  1. I wish when I'd found the twin of your Adidas jacket it had fitted me (although the woman I sold it to looked amazing in it) I love that you went overboard on the green accessories, fabulously spring like! xxx

  2. Ay yi yi, I may be slowly becoming a fan of your Adidas pieces!! This jacket is grand and patterned on the front AND the back, plus it has pockets, a ‘just right’ combo!

  5. Such a gorgeous mix of textures, patterns, pinks and greens! I absolutely approve of your green bling, and it was lovely toe see the fuzzy flamingo, perhaps for its final wearing this season? xxx

    1. No way, Ann! The Fuzzy Flamingo still likely has months of wear - it's actually quite thin, being a proper "church coat", so perfect for this time of year.

  6. I had the jacket version of your coat and literally wore it to shreds. Pink and green is such a great combination.

  7. Pink makes me happy too! I really do need to try pink and green more often though, you look fabulous in this combination and the sport jacket with that lace skirt works so well!

  8. Lovely colour combo and such a fab Adidas jacket (it made me remember your 'fake Gucci' bomber jacket, as I miss it!). Love that lace&sporty vibe, so fabulous!
Also love the brooch at the collar of the shirt!
