This wool moto jacket is so pink...it's Pank!

Vizzini napped with L while he ate his breakfast in front of the computer. He's a cat that doesn't have a favourite sleeping spot - he is always moving around - but this is the first time I've seen him sleeping here, on top of his den scratching post.
You do not - you like to hound me for food from here, though.
"Right, that. I also climb onto the desk."
It's taking him time to get used to our morning routine again after us being off work for so long, poor boy.
Today's outfit was based around this new-to-me herringbone tweed and lace skirt.
I left the back hanging out, as I varied jacket off and on all day.
The dreaded hot flashes are back with the rise in temps.
The dreaded hot flashes are back with the rise in temps.
However, today was very windy and not as warm, hence the jacket - plus who doesn't love a Pank bookend?
"I need a new sleeping spot."
All this colour felt so good.
The jacket is ten years old now - it's from 2013 - and I've had it for five years.
It's one of my wardrobe staples, out all year round, as are the shoes.

- Silk scarf - vintage 80s, thrifted
The stuff:
These shoes were much better for my puffy toe - they're wonderfully comfortable. I bounded up and down stairs!

- Pink crystal necklace/earrings - Sherman, vintage 1950s/60s, thrifted
- Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
- Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall
- Crystal cuff - Swarovski, consignment, gift from L
- Crystal heart bracelet - Juicy Couture, consignment
And here's my little prince, who found somewhere new to sleep. On my jacket.
"You're not going. I've decided."
He looks very determined there to keep me home! Aw, I'll be home soon, bud.
What does Moto jacket mean? I've not heard that before.
ReplyDeleteThe bookending is super pleasing! Glad the skirt is comfy and loved all the Vizzini pics and captions!😁 Kxxx
Moto is short for motorcycle. A motorcycle jacket is the style, with a zipper up the chest, epaulettes and lots of zippers. They are usually leather, but can be other fabrics (this jacket is wool).
DeleteThanks!
My eyes insist of seeing a thin line of blue at the skirt’s bottom, by the lace. Maybe it’s the influences of the blouse and the shoes!
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I’d call this a professional outfit. How do you name it…profesh? (Too lazy to scroll through back posts to find your spelling!)
Am enjoying reading and following along with your various celebrations and wonderful outfits even if I’m not commenting!
Cheers, Laurie
That's a line of cream/white from the herringbone tweed, Laurie - the hem is rough. Yes, profesh is the word I use! Thank you! No worries, happy to know you're out there. :)
DeleteOh, he wants his cuddles. I like this bookend! It works fabulously. Have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteHa, he just wanted to sleep on my jacket! Thanks, Nancy!
DeleteYou know death begins with your feet my friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know! I'm trying to be careful with my shoes right now!
DeleteAwww, look at Vizzini's little face. This jacket is mine!!!!! How interesting that he's not a creature of habit. It's easy to find William, he's always in one of his five favourite spots!
ReplyDeleteThe jacket and top are a glorious match with those insanely fabul-arse shoes! xxx
Vizzini's claimed the jacket! You look fabulous in it Sheila, but it works so well with his beautiful green eyes. x
ReplyDeleteI love the bright pink with the blue! I've made it my mission to snap up the first non-blue denim jacket I find opshopping. No luck yet so far, but I keep hoping. I'd love a pank as bright as this! :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see you wear that jacket, I go snooping secondhand sites to see if I can find one! PANK is such a mood-lifter.
