Pointing out that I did tuck the front of my sweater into my jeans, to show the belt off. But I didn't realized I'd forgotten until I did the last pic in the morning, which is now the Stair Pose as it's so freaking dark out now.
- Blazer - Yuppie Ladies, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here in March with mixed plaids
- Sweater - Bianca, vintage 80s, thrifted; purchased here for $5.00
- Jeans - Cambio; last seen here (3rd outfit) for September Winesday with orange snake-print
- Boots - Woodland East End, Fluevog; last worn here in May with green and plaid
See? No belt visible.
I'd also forgotten that there were going to be a swack of people visiting the office from other cities in Canada. Without the jacket, which I took off for a few hours in the morning.
Gah, I can see the belt through the bottom of the sweater! It taunts me!

Outerwear - the blazer is very thick, and the sweater is wool, plus I had a cami on.
All I needed was the scarf and gloves.

Accoutrements:
I also carried an umbrella both ways, which irked me - I hate not having a hand free. I must start wearing my fall hats again!

- Scarf - Forele, vintage, consignment
- Gloves - Parkhurst
- Mask - by Mom
The stuff:
I love those boots - I have worn them with the matching plaid blazer at least once before, and probably will again.

In case anyone commented, those are not necessarily jeans, but denim pants! What a great outfit, and of course you have plaid boots which match one of your blazers :)
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant how the boots match the blazer!
ReplyDeleteI feel you pain with the brolly, I'd rather get wet than have to lug one of those around even though I have some groovy vintage ones.
How annoying about that lovely bracelet, you're lucky you didn't lose it. xxx
In my book your look is professional and the pants are simply white pants. Why do we have to label them jeans or denim when pants will do. The word jeans conjures up specifics for me, though I used to call them dungarees (for the stove pipe ones) or bell bottoms back in the 60s! Yup, they were blue denim, but I rarely called them that. Take the blue out of the denim and the pants become something other than jeans. :)
ReplyDeleteI liked your bling arrangement for the photo…anyone else notice the “face” smiling out from the necklace, bar pin and two rings. The bracelet is a wisp of curl on the forehead. ;)
Cheers,
Laurie
I agree, Laurie, and I am pretty sure that no one realized they were jeans. I love your retro terminology! Ha, I like that you see a face.
DeleteThat's a great outfit, particularly as you mentioned you didn't put much effort into it. The boots are fabulous and I can't get over how they match with your blazer. I'm sure you were a ray of sunshine in the office with your yellow sweater!
ReplyDeleteI hate carrying a brolly as well, and like Vix I would rather get wet :-) xxx
Looking gorgeous Sheila! You have made me covetous of your foot ware.
ReplyDeleteI am going down to the store that sells Fluvogs and requesting a special Christmas present from Tony.
I ask for Fluevog gift cards for birthday and Christmas, Alison! They help me afford the shoes!
DeleteLove the boots, and I love white pants and shorts and wear them a lot in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI always admire how well coordinated your "not a lot of effort" outfits are. I totally would have gone with a jammy dress, ha! I've been wearing a lot of dresses lately - such easy outfit options. I like the white jeans - totally would have worked in my office! And the blazer and knit match so nicely together.
ReplyDeleteDespite you having not put much effort into this outfit, it is remarkably well coordinated! I like the tartan on the shoes!x
ReplyDeleteI love those boots too. If I could wear Fluevogs, those would be a pair I would buy
