When I did my research on this skirt, I noticed that nearly every person wearing it paired it with a white shirt or a black shirt. *yawn*
I went with this double-peplum dark green jacket - it's such a pretty shape.
I'm a rainbow!
Masked up. You can't go wrong with red.
Outerwear - I couldn't say no to wearing my new-to-me suede coat either.
- Scarf - Alexander McQueen, consignment
- Gloves - Echo, consignment
- Mask - Lazy Susan's
I'm still babying my feet from the weekend's exertions, otherwise I would have worn my Barbie-pink heels.
Again, most of my bright accessories are packed away, so I went with my blues.

I felt cheered all day in my rainbow hues - I hope they brought a little brightness for you too!
I love how you added more colour to this skirt Sheila! You will really do it justice each time you wear it! It's such a pretty piece :)ReplyDelete
I really love it - such pretty colours - and you can bet I'll be wearing it with more brights soon, Mica! thank you!Delete
Love, love, love this outfit! Every piece shines and as soon as I opened your post it caused me to smile! Yay for color, for “something completely different” (that fabulous skirt!), and for how classy it all comes together on you.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Laurie - the power of clothing! It really can change how you feel. Thank you, my dear (I appreciate the 'classy' comment - I always strive for classy, even though I'm often "klassy" instead, lol).Delete
I'm sure you cheered up all you passed by. I'm looking forward to seeing colors in people again. I'll likely not leave my house for a few days ( well other than walking the dog).ReplyDelete
I hope so, Sam! I miss seeing colours on folks too - but I wear them for me, most of all.Delete
I was having a meh day, until I took a little break and saw your post! That skirt is even more fabulous on, and yes, the double-peplum dark green jacket is so much better with it than boring black or white. I also love the shoes you paired with it! Delicious! The suede coat really does live up to expectations as well. Fantastic outfit, which totally cheered me up! xxxReplyDelete
Aw, I love that, thank you, Ann! I felt much cheered in all this colour.Delete
That's a wonderfully cheery outfit and I'm glad you didn't team the skirt with a boring black or white top!ReplyDelete
I'm already cheery, we're meeting friends for a few drinks and a curry but seeing you in your rainbow skirt made me day even better. xxx
Even my black and white tops aren't boring, Vix! Oh, your day sounds amazing! I wish I could join you too!Delete
I love everything about this outfit. The shoes are awesome!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Vicki!Delete
Love the rainbow shirt. I'd like to see it combined with something quirky slash modern top. I bet you have that in your wardrobe as well.ReplyDelete
I am pretty sure I do, Greetje - I bought a really interesting white top with pleats recently that I think might work...but I'm sure I'll have something fun in my spring/summer wardrobe that will zhuzh it up. :)Delete
Well I certainly appreciated your rainbow hues, cheerful, bold and happy!ReplyDelete
There's not much more I can add!
Loving the vibrant, rainbow skirt.ReplyDelete
What a fabulous find! x
Thanks, Phyl, I agree!Delete
You styled that rainbow skirt perfectly. I would have gone safe with a black sweater, but I just adore what you did with the dark green jacket and bright shoes.ReplyDelete
I was happy with it, Goody. I may still do black (or white) with it at some point!Delete
Love the rainbow skirt and you have styled it perfectly.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Ivana!Delete
Love it! Reminds me of the ribbon skirts I have been working on! I bought my daughter a pair of red leather and plaid gloves for Christmas. They were ridiculous expensive, but she is worth it to me. Where do you keep that shoe collection? I drool over these. Me loves shoes.ReplyDelete
There is something about stripes of colour, isn't there, Kim? Oh, what a lovely gift! I adore leather gloves but I can't stomach the retail price. Most of mine are under $25 second-hand, some even still have the tags on them!Delete
You'll get to see my closet in a few weeks, when I do my massive seasonal swap-over. :)
That skirt is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing! Adore how you styled it!xReplyDelete
When I saw this skirt (unworn) in your previous post, I wondered how it'd look on someone. You answer that -- even better! Smart shopping choice.ReplyDelete
Nothing smart about it - I loved it, so I bought it. Thanks, Ally!Delete
I am so with you! While white and black are entirely fine choices, neither would be my first inclination when looking to partner "upper halves", if you will, with a stunning multicolour gem like this beguiling skirt.ReplyDelete
The deep, elegant shade of green that you went with in this beautiful look is a phenomenal partner for it. (And may I add, I adore the subtle mid-century vibes that it channels.)

I'd always rather wear more colour than resort to black or white, Autumn (I think you know that about me by now!).Delete
Gorgeous rainbow skirt and you have styled it perfectly.ReplyDelete
That is a fabulous skirt! Fabulous styling!ReplyDelete
The fitted peplum jacket is a great shape for the fullness of the skirt, and your "New" suede coat is lovely.ReplyDelete
Who doesn't love a peplum? :) Thanks!Delete
woww, totally fabulous skirt and so lovely that you picked some colours that go nicely to enhance its fabulousness!!ReplyDelete
Really in love with this outfit, the peplum jacket, the new coat!. Loving those shoes!.
It doesn't cease to amaze me to find some unworn pieces from decades ago! Glad that you're going to enjoy properly this coat!
Thanks for cheering up my day, dear Sheila!
Thanks so much! I liked this outfit too - good quality classic pieces will always work together.Delete
I know, I felt so lucky to find that coat! She will be well worn with me.
