Blue and Silver

Feeling up and down today - not inspired to create a more whimsical title, so yes, I am wearing blue and silver.
Wearing the blue, feeling the blues, a bit. That's okay.

  • Dress - Nanette Lepore, thrifted, Vancouver; last worn here in September 2018 and giving zero F#@!s
  • Shoes - Sol Sana; last seen here (2nd outfit) in February for the VFF Gala
  • Coat (below) - Tangerine Jill, thrifted; first worn here in April

When you're feeling blue, a dress can help.
You don't really have to think too much. Does X go with Y? What top do I wear?

You just throw it on.
I added silver bits to this, and big honkin' shoes.

Real face.
My mood lifted slightly towards the end of the day.

It's hard to be blue when the sun is out and it's warm.
It's also hard to be blue in bright pink.

I nearly forgot I had this lovely linen coat.
Such sweet ruffles around the lapels.

The stuff:
One of my coworkers who just transferred from Germany was shocked that I had bare toes in the office. We're on the west coast, it's all casual out here.

Silver bling:
Silver, steel and aluminum, actually.

  • Silver cuff - Bauxo
  • Steel cuff - thrifted
  • Steel earrings - gift from Lise
  • Aluminum belt - vintage fair
  • Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
  • Silver/lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

  6. Sorry to hear you've been feeling blue but I know it will pass. I've got the odd episode too, you just have to let it happen. Wearing blue might do the trick, though. I love how that dress hugs your figure, those fabulous shoes and silver belt, and - cherry on the cake - that rather lovely pink coat! A virtual hug is on its way! xxx

  13. I had a very up-and-down week mentally too. Our weather has been crap, which has not been a good thing for my brain chemistry. Hope you're feeling brighter. The dress is a beautiful colour and flattering shape - perfect for a day when you need to keep things simple but also want to look like you are feeling better than you are.
