Primary Sunday Colours

Today, I went to the grocery store, then ambled through a few neighbourhoods, down to one of my favourite consignment shops. I felt like being bright! It was so sunny out, that none of my stair shots worked with the sun glaring on me.
This outfit is composed of all existing items in my closet that made it into capsules last year, so no voting on them. The jacket is my trusty yellow leather, and I'm accenting all these primary colours with the lovely vintage scarf that Megan sent me the other day.

This is my outfit for Visible Monday! Head on over to Patti's "Not Dead Yet Style" to check out the other fabulous participants.

This is my Smoking Lily stretchy dress, featured in the May 2012 capsule, recap here. It was just right for trying clothes on. I only wore it twice in May, so it was good to give it another go.
I had to do matching buttonflowers!
The boots were in the January 2013 capsule (recap here). I'm still working on softening them up, so today's 3+ hours in them helped.

Jacket (Danier Leather), dress (Smoking Lily), boots (Adrian Agnes, Fluevog), buttonflowers and scarf (Megan Mae).

I had a pretty good shopping session. I'm finding I'm much more picky about what I buy. If it doesn't fit exactly right or just doesn't ring all my bells, it's a no.

I found this lovely rusty-orange blouse by Mexx for $14.98:
It's perfectly fitted through the body - it will be an excellent layering piece.

I fell in love with this gorgeous wool bustier:
It's by Mondi, is 100% wool and is made in Germany - it was $24.98. The bottom section is a great peplum shape. So looking forward to making some fun outfits out of this!

  1. Loving your brights today - esp those red-hot boots. And the new wool bustier says "Sheila" all over it - fantastic! Thanks for linking up.

  2. I love the bright colors, and your hair is lookin' pretty cool, too!

I saw an orange suede jacket and skirt at Goodwill yesterday and I thought of you. The jacket was sort of bolero style and the skirt had unruffled layers in a pencil shape. If you're interested, email me your size and I'll go see if it's still there and take some pics. sparkleparkdesigns@gmail.com

  3. Looking good!! I love the cheery yellow leather (very unusual!) and the boots are superb. I have a thrifted coat that is a Mondi, from the '80's I'm certain. The bustier is very cool.
