And here we are! Last outfit of March, baby!
I slept in past my alarm so missed my WW meeting, but L and I met up with Nick and Andrew for brunch anyway. I figured I may as well do one more outfit!
My Smoking Lily Hama Hama crow top (crow side showing), last worn here (but not visible), my blue squid skirt (last worn here), and my olive/brown boots (last seen here).Capped it off with my white leather jacket:
Someone at the diner commented on the "pristine" condition of my jacket; I had to laugh - it's so NOT pristine! It's quite stained around the neck and cuffs and the inside back bottom hem. I don't sweat the small stuff when it comes to light-coloured leathers. They're going to get dirty - I just consider it part of the charm.
Oh, and not that it's a big deal, but I just passed my fourth anniversary of blogging here at Ephemera. Kind of cool - a lot has changed in the last four years!
This is a short post, because I spent yesterday afternoon unpacking all of my spring/summer clothes that I stored away at the end of September 2011. I cleaned out my closet and picked out my April (and most of my May) capsule. I've also slotted the themes I've been mulling over into their months so that I can plan around those when I go thrifting this month.
March re-cap coming shortly...
Jacket (Le Chateau, consignment), top (Smoking Lily Hama Hama), skirt (Jacob, thrifted), boots (Hispanitas, consignment), ring (Wendy Brandes), earrings (local).
Fabulous final outfit. I've been very worried over my medium grey leather jacket. It calls itself "oil leather" and has a really super smooth texture - but it stains really easily. I had to come home after the hunger games and figure out how to get the tear stains to disappear! Forget getting caught in the rain. Thankfully wiping it with some plain water takes care of the worst, but I've accepted it's going to look worn in.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your April (and May!) capsules. I've been really enjoying your remixing. It's making me feel a little better about cutting myself off after the cydwoq purchases, especially with super saturday sales coming up this week. At least I too have been able to pull out my summer wear.
Happy fourth anniversary, Sheila. You have created a terrific blog, one that I always look forward to reading, and I've learned a lot about style from you!
ReplyDeleteOh! And congrats on the blog-o-versary!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 4 years! My second year end is approaching, though there are days that I fear my days are numbered at blogging. The jacket is in good condition, but have you ever attempted to remove the signs of a former life?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri - I hope you will keep it up - I do enjoy your blog.
DeleteNah, nothing but a wipe-down with some cleaner and water. I am way too lazy to do more, ha!
Wow, four years! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the recap post; those are always so much fun.
Happy Blogaversary!!!

That is IF the clothes are still around....
