I'm going with my current favourite skirt: the Heather skirt (named after my generous co-worker who gave it to me, bless her heart). Reason: it's a neutral (brown with a thin black pencil stripe and fine texture) and it's a classic shape (pencil skirt).
Easy to match stuff with it:
That pose makes it look like I have no bum. Ha! Oh well.
I wanted to play up the black pinstripe in the skirt and mix black and brown, then pop them both with a bright colour: blue. Add a funky neckace, brown fishnets and my fab Fluevog Listen Up! Ivanna shoes, and I'm ready to go.
Suit jacket (Max Studio), top (Oxmo), skirt (Suzy Shier, gift from Heather), belt (Bianca Nygard), shoes (Fluevogs), necklace (Plum), crystal stud earrings).
I love that you show a separate picture of your accessories, since they don't show up well in your full-body picture. Your accessories always look so rich and opulent, and I enjoy looking at your combinations. This is the main reason I like your blog over the many, many others on the net. That and your interesting commentary. Keep up the good work and I'll enjoy watching you from California.ReplyDelete
looking forward to the various "ensembles" with the skirt! Very classic skirt! Amazing how you can put odd things together and it comes out looking great! BonnieReplyDelete
Gorgeous outfit. The shoes are fab (of course). Interesting challenge. I may need to see what I can come up with.ReplyDelete
BTW, I gave you a little shout out on my blog. You really have been a great inspiration!
Great skirt - can't wait to see the rest of the week.ReplyDelete
I'm in the challenge too. But I feel weird about it because I never wear the same thing. And I rarely plan what I wear.ReplyDelete
I guess it's time to do something differently for a change!
Love it! Look forward to seeing the next two skirt-centric outfits.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Gerrilyn, and welcome! I'm hugely complimented by your kind words. I like to show all the detail (I'm a details person) in my outfits and accessories.ReplyDelete
Bonnie: thanks so much! I love showing off my outfit to you each morning.
Hillary, thanks! Aw...thank you so much for the shout-out. I'm so glad you were inspired - and YOU inspire ME! What an awesome accomplishment on your run! Way to go!
Thanks, Jane! I'm really excited.
Hey, Sue - give it a shot! It's not that hard. It flexes that creative muscle.
Love this colour combo at the moment and the intense blue is fab-u-lous!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Mervat! I love blue - any shade! - with brown, too.ReplyDelete
Wow, those shoes are hawt!ReplyDelete
Hi and welcome, Stephanie! Yes, they are. Fluevogs rock.ReplyDelete
