Dragons for the Dentist...and a Special Guest

Just home from the periodontist, and my face is half-frozen and I need to lie down.
 You get short post!

  • Sweater - Dalkeith, vintage 60s, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) in November 2018 with velvet and gold
  • Skirt - Blind Faith, thrifted; purchased here for $19.99
  • Shoes - Channi B; last seen here in October with different dragons and more velvet
  • Coat (below) - Stop Staring!, thrifted; last worn here in December 2018

A pretty simple classic look. The solid colour of the top (matching the shoes, of course) focuses on the patterned skirt.
And it's all comfy enough to sit in a chair for 2 hours, loopy and dozing off under a blanket, while the very nice lady scrapes my teeth.

I do love the happy pill and the mouthful of freezing I get. Could not do it without!
The skirt did well for its first wearing. It billows well when going down stairs, I am pleased to report.

Thinking about teeth.
 Not happy thoughts.

Outerwear - the weather called for snow flurries mixed with rain. This coat is not warm enough.
However, I wasn't outside for long between bus stops and Mom's car, so I am just being a mopey whiner.

  • Fur boa - thrifted
  • Gloves - Parkhurst

The stuff':
These shoes always get strong reactions. They are so pretty. I like that the pink leather lining peeps out a bit (so I did pink lipstick to match).

Buggy bling:
I pinned my scarab brooch to the sweater. I feel like it had been neglected.

  • Chain bracelet - thrifted
  • Hematite bracelet and ring - thrifted
  • Earrings - Glee
  • Bug brooch - Le Chateau

My mom had to pick up my youngest niece, Sidney, from ballet(? I'm a little foggy on the details) class, and she wanted to peek in my closet.
Striking a pose with Monster Vest and the fringed boots. I might have to do this look soon!

And then with the velvet ball cap and the Yeti Coat.
Monster Vest liked her more. I let her keep the ball cap.

  2. Kid's got a good eye.

Sometimes there's just nothing more fun than floofing down the stairs in a flouncy dress like a modern Scarlett O'Hara.

  8. Your niece has some mad stylin' skills! The sweater/skirt combo may be simple, but I really like this outfit. I love a skirt that billows when you walk. Hope your mouth feels better now!
