The Red Walk

Today was my company's annual "everyone go for a walk" event that we celebrate globally. I organize our event for our city, and I like to do themes. This year it was "Victoria's Most Haunted".
Because I like to point out to my coworkers where bodies are buried and ghosts are. Doesn't everyone?

  • Jacket - Alison Wonderland, consignment; last seen here in June with dots and Shoes My Husband Loves
  • Dress - Talbots, consignment; last worn here in April for Ulti and Winesday
  • Shoes - Faith Hi Lo Reumah, Fluevog; last seen here in July with fringe and Valentino

I asked everyone to wear red today (our corporate colour), and I was amazed at how many people did! That is pretty adventuresome for IT workers. I also wore my red felted wool hat so that everyone could spot me as I dashed (I changed to my runners) about, guiding everyone around downtown.
Love this jacket, love this dress (shocked that I haven't worn it since April!).

The stuff:
Such fun shoes - and I got to be matchy.

Basic bling:
The belt matches the shoes! Aieeee! My matchy heart grew two sizes today...

  • Belt - thrifted
  • Ear-balls - Dior
  • Ring - late 90s

    1. I think it depends on the shade - this dress is a very tomato red. I also like deep burgundy reds. Thanks!

  5. So, what was the route? And more broadly, what are your top recommendations for 2 days in/near Victoria for someone who's never been there before? You've done some posts featuring sightseeing/city walks - it would be great if you could point out one that hits your favorites!

    1. Hey, ismay, please feel free to drop me an email (it's in my profile), and I will send you some links to walking tours. If you're not weirded out by it, I'm pretty normal, and would be happy to meet up with you for lunch if you're in town. :)

    1. Thanks, Elizabeth. Oh, absolutely - I wouldn't subject my feet to the pain, or my shoes to the wear and tear!

  8. I could just imagine how lovely and swishy that dress felt to wear. It's a great cut. The jacket length is perfect, but hey you knew that as you're such a pro! The shoes and belt are fab in the matchy way too. Great x
