A Last Gasp of Pink and Yellow

Another outfit filled with things that are going on vacation in big plastic tubs under my bed for six months.
I'm debating whether the blouse will stay out or not (Emily, your vote for "stay out" has been noted).

  • Blouse - Tory Burch, consignment; first worn here in August with yellow and gold
  • Skirt - J Studio, vintage 80s, thrifted; first worn here in August with dotted shoes
  • Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last seen here in August as a pow of yellow
  • Leather coat (below) - Danier Leather, had for 6+ years, originally purchased in May 2010, here, for $149.00

The pattern on the blouse is actually birds in flight. I love how they swoop and soar across me.
Such a fabulous skirt. Wool, lined, POCKETS, made in Canada, less than $13.00.

Every time I wear this leather jacket, people comment on it. It's been over 6 years, and I've worn it dozens and dozens of times. I'm sure I'm down to around $2.00 a wear or less.
Yeah, I walk to work in sport socks and runners. I am classy as heck.

The stuff:
Lovely yellow waxed canvas goodness. I wish I had these shoes in every colour Fluevog made/makes them in.

Bright bling:
I hugged Simar today, to thank her again for these awesome earrings.

  • Belt - Liz Claiborne, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Earrings - gift from Simar

Vizzini mad at me because L is away. It's like he thinks this is my fault.
"I demand the Man."
Enjoy the deck while you can, Vizzini - it's getting chillier.

    1. Ha, the votes are in, and are overwhelmingly in favour of keeping it out. Thanks, Sue!

  2. I vote that the blouse should stay out too, Sheila! It's fab. (Also the skirt -- wool, and lined, so just fine for winter, no?)
Every time I see you in a version of those Fluevogs I sigh, recalling how sad I was that they didn't work for my feet … love these yellow ones (also your orange ones, but I think the copper are my favourite!).

    1. Thanks, Sherry! The skirt is a summer-weight wool, so too cold for winter - and I have to draw the line somewhere, since I don't have room for everything to be out all year round. Aw, sorry to hear about 'Vogs not working for you - I hope you find some that do!

  3. Another vote here to keep the blouse out - it's such a nice print!

I like the pink and yellow together in your outfit too!

  4. Hurray for yellow and pink! No wonder you get so many comments on that jacket, it's fabulous! I am slowly putting my summer things to bed as well. Mine go in vacuum bags in a big linen chest. The blouse looks very versatile to me, so I'm voting OUT too! xxx

    1. It is a rather fab jacket. :) I'll be doing a major post about my closet swap-over - watch for it on Sunday!

  5. I vote for the blouse! Keep it out until you're freezing in it, I say. The print is eye-catching, and I love the graceful, louche neckline.

    1. Ha, thank you, Velma! A+ for the use of "louche", one of my favourite words.

  6. I never wear yellow, but I would wear that leather jacket! Definitely a staple in your closet.

  7. I think that blouse has to stay out so it can be worn over a black turtleneck...

    1. Ugh, no, never, ever. I loathe turtlenecks and hate wearing them. However, yes, the blouse is staying out!

  8. Out.
Why is the skirt hibernating? It's wool... I love it! But I guess these are tough decisions. Heh.

    1. It's really, really, REALLY thin, fine wool. Not wooly like "Ah I want to cuddle up in this." It's not even close to being warm - it's a hot weather wool.

  9. Yes, out for the top. And oh how adorable you are in pink and yellow! I love those shoes, just totally love them. And the yellow jacket is a real show stopper. I'm not surprised you get lots of compliments about it. I dread to think how many plastic boxes you need to put your clothes into storage. I have 10 currently.

  10. I love that your clothes are "going on vacation under the bed"!! The yellow leather jacket is fabulous and those shoes!!! I've said it before but you have amazing shoes (coming from someone who has very few pairs of shoes, but loves looking at other people's shoes!) xx

    1. I like it too - it's like Christmas when I unpack them, because I forget everything that I have, ha ha! Aw, thank you so much. *whisper* I have 90 pairs of shoes!

  11. Yep, the blouse is beautiful. In winter I wear a tight warm top underneath such things. One with a similar neckline of course. Rest of the stuff is beautiful too.
