Greensleeves and Jungle

You'll be seeing a lot of repeat wearings of my long-sleeved blouses this week as my tattoo heals up.
Deja vu, anyone? I wore this same top for my first work day after the line-work in August. It's good for showing off the ink before it starts getting all flaky and dry.

  • Blouse - Alfani, thrifted; last worn here in August, yup, post-tattoo
  • Skirt - Mario Serrano, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) in July with orange, and these same shoes
  • Shoes - Half Truth Tanya, Fluevog; last worn here (2nd outfit) with the same skirt in July
  • Jacket (below) - Lord & Taylor, thrifted; last worn (but not seen) here last week; last seen here the week before with purple

It was a crazy Monday. I ended up working late (moving another desk). I'm tired. And hungry.
Last wearing of this jungle skirt for the season; it's too thin (cotton, lined) for winter. Plus I have many other fabulous winter skirts to wear! You have to rest seasonal things in order to appreciate them again later.
And there's the jacket. We're still having lovely mild weather, so nothing heavier's needed, although this topper is also going to get packed away for the season.

The stuff:
Perfect Monday shoes. No thought involved.

Green and blue bling:
Just chandelier earring for every day wear, as one does.

  • Earrings - thrifted
  • Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

  1. I love the ensemble but especially the skirt. And the shoes. Guess I'm a sucker for those gorgeous greens!

  4. I love how green transitions from the earrings all the way down to our shoes - and how it all matches your hair.

  5. Love this outfit, fabulous details throughout, and I adore how it comes alive in the outdoor light! Double strapped mary janes in forest green, that is such a shoe accomplishment! Love the skirt; both the floral print and the sheer border, and the blouse with pleated sleeves.
    genius. In my little book!

  6. I love the variety of shades of green in your outfit. Sheer, pleated long sleeves are awesome.

  7. This pleated blouse is one of my favourites of all time - I think the pleating is what does it. I just love those tiny pleats on anything. I'll be sorry to see that cute cream jacket go into storage though. I expect your changeover is coming up any time now, so I suppose there will be many glorious coats waiting in the wings...

  8. Beautiful ensemble. I love green. Especially the skirt and shoes. My question about the weathr is answered. Now I have to go back and see what that tattoo business is about.

    1. You are about a month and a half behind, ha ha! It is still mild here in early November, though. Thank you so much for the comments!
