I've been pulling out items that I want to wear again - only a few weeks to go until I swap out for my fall/winter wardrobe. I'm putting this skirt to the test.
I think I've found it a new home - it was fun to play with (and buy twice after I cut a hole in the first one!), but I have another skirt that I like better, which will be making an appearance at some point soon.- Jacket - H&M, thrifted; first worn here just last week with pops of orange
- Sweater top - Gap, consignment; first worn here in August with shiny pink brocade
- Skirt - H&M, thrifted; last seen here in June for Shoes My Husband Hates
- Shoes - Diesel, consignment; last worn here in April with lace and a pencil skirt
I neglected to take my own advice on my mental note last time I wore this and wear a longer half-slip underneath it. Strangely, it was fine this time around, probably because once again I have nylons on. But yeah, I'm finished with this skirt. It's all yours, Eryn!
However, I loved how it looked with this lavender jacket and these funky shoes.
Why haven't I worn these shoes since April? That's tragic!
The stuff:
Am I right? These are fabulous! That's not even a high heel.
Spiral and dot bling:
Another one of my "sets" of jewelry, all purchased separately.
- Pin - Sarah Coventry, vintage fair
- Ring - vintage fair
- Earrings - Aldo Accessories
That is a beautiful skirt, but it's good you've go someone in mind it can go onto now you're had enough of it. It really does work so well with that blazer too! :)
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is making me thing I should pair some of my skirts with blazers, I think I kept a few of the style I'm thinking of! :)
Yup, I like it but I don't love it, and I feel like I've gotten enough wear out of it. Skirt + blazers = awesome! Go for it, Mica!
DeleteSo long, skirt! I'm glad you have a better replacement in the wings. I love how the shoes look like the heels are higher than they really are - best magic. And autumn wardrobes, hard to believe, but I do love this weather. Remind me later that I wrote that!
ReplyDeleteI do, a sheer skirt, with metallic dots, even! But swooshier! I bought those shoes in Vancouver on one of our trips over - I always think of you with any of my Van finds. I know, I love the cooler weather too.
DeleteI put out some stuff to wear again and am ending up getting rid of most.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think you made the right decision to give this skirt a new home, specially if you already have a replacement and someone to give it to ;)
Yeah, there is usually a reason why we don't wear those things!
DeleteI actually love this outfit, love the sheer skirt with the short one underneath. You look incredibly stylishly chic. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Elizabeth! I liked it a lot too. :)
DeleteSuch a fine farewell for this skirt! The short slip gives it a fab, flirty look and that prim jacket is the perfect foil. You've given this skirt a great showing and now it can go off to brighten up Eryn's life x
ReplyDeleteAnna
Thanks, Anna! Eryn was really happy to get it.
