This is the fourth time I've worn this dress and I've done a different combination of accessories every time.
I did my physical stuff, including going up and down stepladders, for an hour in the morning while wearing my walking shoes.
But I walked in these blue beauties to Earl's for lunch with some of my amazing female work-friends.
Accoutrements:
It's been drizzly, which is the weather for wool fedoras - they do a wonderful job of keeping the rain off.

- Hat - thrifted
- Scarf - fake Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
- Leather gloves - Lord & Taylor, thrifted
The stuff:
This is the perfect shoe - a great shape, a stable heel, balanced so that I could walk 6 blocks with not even a twinge.

Phew, so glad to have a day off tomorrow - I'm excited to be seeing Mom again! Stay tuned for Mom-Day Adventures!
There’s no mystery here, one and done jammy dress with enough pizzazz to lift the spirits! The blue fedora and the vibrant shoes are excellent bookends. I might have been tempted to keep the hat on just for that reason. :) And the Danier red leather coat! I LOVE the color and the cut, and I’m certain it keeps you comfortably warm and dry.
ReplyDeleteMost of all, glad each day finds you feeling a bit better. Being with your Mom tomorrow will continue to fuel your return to full Sheila. :)
Cheers, Laurie
Ah, the Murder Mystery Dress! How wonderful to see it again. Surely, wearing such a magnificent garment is an instant pick-me-up? Loving the pops of solid blue and red with it. I wish more people wore fedoras and leather!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're a whole lot better and don't you worry, your energy levels will soon be topped up. Says she who is low on energy herself ...
Hope you're having a wonderful Mom-Day adventure today! xxx
