It won't come as a shock that this golden blouse was one of the first things I grabbed. It matches one of the stripes in the plaid.
- Blouse - Lady Manhattan, vintage 80s, consignment; last worn here in January, layered under a dress
- Skirt - Liz Claiborne, thrifted; purchased here for $16.50
- Shoes - Banana Republic, consignment; last seen here in March with red and velvet
- Eclipse Coat (below) - Welsh, vintage, consignment; last worn here a couple of weeks ago
But it goes well enough with the skirt.
I enjoyed wearing the skirt - but do I love it?
I'll try styling it with something else before I make any decisions.

Mixed bling:
I started with my Grandma's gold ball necklace - the grey beads led me to mix in the Brutalist "grey" pewter bracelet (it has small balls of gold on it).

Very beautiful Skirt Sheila, fits nice and snug on you and looks like a high enough back slit for ease of walking. I also love long pencil skirts.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt looks warm and, as noted in the previous comment, the slit looks like it accommodates walking. The blouse…hmm, I’m not a fan. My eye wants to see maybe a short cropped chunky sweater or a close fitting non-bulky belted V-neck sweater. No idea which - if either - would play well with the skirt.
ReplyDeleteGreat coat - pattern, colors and length - and it provides a nice backdrop for the brooch to shine.
Happy Tuesday!
Cheers, Laurie
Evening, She! I'm not a fan of pencil skirts but that Welsh Wool coat and your funky leopard loafers stop you straying into Miss Marple territory. xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm totally getting why you're not feeling the blouse and are on the fence about the skirt. Why they are both beautiful in their own right, I don't think the outfit is very Sheila!
ReplyDeleteLoving the leopard and bling though, particularly the bracelets! xxx
Oh yes, I see what you mean! This is definitely not you! It's a bit tweeee!!x
