Orange Pleather Armour for 60%

Back to work today...and I was not ready for a full day at all. I was about 60%...and that's how long I lasted at work, before I had to go home and sleep for most of the afternoon.

At least I did a Real Outfit, and it's definitely armour. Orange pleather armour!
It's gotten darker in the mornings during the last two weeks, so no more Stair Pics until after the winter solstice.

  • Suit - Only, consignment; first worn here (3rd outfit) for my birthday party in October
  • Blouse - Nygard, consignment; last seen here in December 2022, layered under sequins
  • Shoes - Mission Monica, Fluevog; last worn here in November 2022 with grey flannel and stripes
  • Eclipse Coat (below) - Welsh, vintage, consignment; last seen here in November

I was fine for the first few hours at work, as I sifted through my emails and dealt with all the super-urgent stuff.
But as the day went on, I started feeling dizzy with waves of exhaustion.

I barely moved from my desk.
The last wave said, "Better go home or you're going to faint at work."

I bid adieu to my boss and colleague Glenn and hopped a bus home.
At least my coworker Gary got to admire the outfit. "I love what you have on!" he exclaimed.

Without the blazer, although I never took it off.
The trousers aren't really meant to be worn without the jacket - the waistband is a wide flat elastic. Not classy (or even Klassy).

Outerwear - and trying to smile and look normal.
I walked to work (bad idea) in the drizzle and dark.

How I really felt.
I'm a blur.

Accoutrements:
Comforting favourites.

  • Toque - thrifted
  • Scarf - Balmain, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - consignment

The stuff:
Great clunky shoes.  I should wear them more.

Pewter and amber bling:
I liked this mix of two of my larger sets.

  • Amber pendant - thrifted
  • Silver poison ring - Mexican, Karen's
  • Silver/amber ring - consignment
  • Volcano ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Earrings - Glee
  • Amber/silver bracelet - consignment, Powell River
  • Pewter/gold bracelet - Robert Larin, vintage 70s, vintage mall, gift from L

Vizzini curled up with me in bed. Very cuddly and comforting, thanks, buddy!
"You should have stayed home, Woman."

Gotta work, little guy! Back at it tomorrow...

  1. Well done for trying, Sheila, but I do get that you weren't ready for a full day yet. I remember not being ready after two week of the flu last year, and that was just "ordinary" flu! It took me quite a while to have some of my energy back. It'll get easier, I'm sure.
Loving your orange pleather armour, though, and those fabulous shoes! xxx

  3. Um, I’m 100% with Vizzini here…just saying…Health comes before work!

Now for your outfit! I have no recollection of those shoes and they are wild in the best possible way! I appreciate how the slits in the pant legs are so perfect for these shoes!

    Please rest!
    Cheers, Laurie

  5. It's a horrible thing, Covid. I hope you get your 'get up and go' back soon!

The trouser suit is fab; I don't recall seeing it before nor those amazing shoes. I loved the outfit on you and as armour it certainly worked. Sorry to hear you couldn't make it through the day...

The Welsh wool coat looked fantastic.
