Nov 27th - Outfit #25 - Spotted Animal

Why does my brain seem to think things will be quiet at this time of year, when the reality is that things are so busy? Maybe it's the weather...I just want to stay home, sipping hot cocoa, eating popcorn and watching rom-coms (guilty pleasure).

But anyway, one must soldier on and do one's best. Fake it till you feel it!
I really enjoyed today's outfit - it was comfy to wear (even the shoes) and visually fun.

My lovely cream brocade jacket makes its last appearance this month (last seen here while vintaging adventurously), as does this pseudo-animal blouse (last worn here, with baring of shoulders). I'm looking forward to wearing this blouse in the summer when I don't have to always layer it.
My black leather skirt behaved itself and only snagged on my tights a few times - it seems to be patterned tights that it catches on (those dots in my tights are holes!), since when I last wore it here, I had no issues with the teal tights.

My two-tone shoes (last seen here with wine tights) pull in the brown tones of the blouse. I added my mink rose and my Grandma J's vintage copper cuff and earrings to bring in a little more of the warm neutral.

Hope your week is going well!

Jacket (Le Chateau, consignment), blouse (Spense, consignment), skirt (Danier Leather, consignment), shoes (Unlisted), cuff/earrings (vintage 50s, Renoir, Grandma J), mink rose (consignment).

  2. I really enjoy today's outfit! You've managed to be both uber-sexy and uber-classy, not an easy combo to carry off, especially for the office. I know your co-workers must look forward to seeing what you're going to wear for the day - I know I do.

  3. Love the hosiery print paired with that blouse! I tend to notice a lot more snags on looser weave tights. Hope no holes happened!

I'm definitely looking forward to finishing my semester up. Hopefully we'll all get to enjoy some slower holidays soon enough.

  6. I know I've said it before but I really like your jacket! I was in a vintage store today and I saw a similar one, I was tempted to try it on but decided against it. Keep thinking about it though, didn't even take it off the rack to see what the size was!

  7. Pretty! I like the mix of textures and prints, and I am always a sucker for chestnut and black mixed together. The brocade jacket just completes the look perfectly.

I'm not actually super busy socially, but work is a complete logjam right now. Everything is coming due Jan 1. Yikes!

  10. Those tights are very cool, and I love them with those shoes! Classy! I have a skirt that I love, but it's hem always catches on everything, and I cannot find a slip to fit it perfectly. Sigh. It hangs in the closet. Maybe I'll cut it up and make something out of it!! LOL. xoxo Lynn

  11. Ow, ow! This outfit is really awesome! As others have said, a little sexy but work appropriate too! The tights are my favorite!

I hear you on the busy days, I'd love to just curl up at home too with movies, but that is just not to be.
