Suit and Sneakers

I couldn't get my brain into outfit planning last night, so I fell back on another one of my reliable formulas (or formulae, if you're being accurate).
NOT a Jammy Dress! A suit!

  • Suit - Part Two; last worn here in April with red accents
  • Shirt - Yest; last seen here in April with my regret-me-not palm tree skirt (which is due another wear)
  • Sneakers - Steve Madden, thrifted; last worn here in July with my Adidas dress

My view from the stairs this morning.
A moody sunrise on the Castle.

Back to the suit.
Change up the shirt and shoes, and it's a whole new outfit every time.

I wore the jacket done up like this all day.
And while I have black socks on in the pics here, I made it about a block on my walk to work when they started to do the dreaded Toe Creep.

Traffic whizzing by, I stopped and pulled my socks off.
I was barefoot the rest of the day.

Masked up.
Had a meeting with my boss today - all's well, status quo, still very few people in the office.

Incognito.
I liked the addition of the sneakers to the suit, just for fun.

The stuff:
Sneakers are not an everyday thing for me, but these are very comfy.

  • Mask - by Mom

Gold bling:
All the gold! Pile it on!

  • Belt - vintage, thrifted
  • Brooch - vintage fair; purchased here for $5.00 (on a 2 for $10 table)
  • Earrings - Biko, consignment
  • Necklace - Givenchy, vintage 80s, vintage fair
  • Big ring - Sidney
  • Amber ring - c. 1996
  • Hematite ring - thrifted

  3. The thing about those sneakers is that they don’t look like what I consider sneakers. They are the dressiest, un-sneakery sneakers I have yet to see! And, for what it’s worth, I’m thinking the taking off of the socks made the outfit even classier. Spiffy look, overall. :)

  5. I love this suit on you and how you manage to make it your own each time you wear it! I feel my outfit formulas are basic and boring but your ones are always so eye catching! :) It's very inspiring.

  6. There are suits and there are suits that make you look like a casual rockstar or incognito royalty. This is definitely the latter

  7. A jammy suit's just as good as a jammy dress, surely! I love how you jazzed it up with gold bling and yet wore it with sneakers for contrast. And oh how I hate toe creep! xxx

  8. I have always liked that suit on you, and I would love to find a pair of sneakers that are as cool as those ones. My feet are so fussy now I'm wearing sneaker-style shoes much more than I would like.
