Time for my annual wearing of this dress, and for the second (and final) time, I'm done with it.
- Blazer - InWear; last seen here (2nd outfit) in July with sailor pants for a pub afternoon
- Dress - Sacony Ciella, vintage 60s, thrifted; last worn here in August 2021 for a Mom-Day adventure
- Boots - Effortless Sophia, Fluevog; last seen here in May in an all-purple look
Vizzini had a good day - he's seeing light/dark again.
"It's you! The big blog that grabs at me!"
He's a little more active when his vision is on an upswing. He had a good go at one of his many scratching posts, captured below.
Anyway, yes, the dress.
I put it in the giveaway pile at the start of the pandemic, then my girlfriends convinced me to take it back last year.

I've worn it a total of 7 times, and I paid $18.95 for it, so that's...$2.71 per wear. I'm fine with that.
I'm just not feeling it, even though I liked this outfit overall.

I adore this orange jacket - it goes with everything.
None of my 4 different shades match - I'm multi-oranged.

- Scarf - Ralph Lauren, consignment
- Mask - by Mom
The stuff:
Sweet boots, right? They're really comfy too. But they get packed away for another 6 months - I have oodles of winter boots in storage!

Vizzini was rolling around demanding tummy rubs while I was photographing my stuff.
He's a beast on that post! Look at him go!
I have always loved that dress, and it works so well with this jacket and boots. Oh well, you got your money's worth out of it, and it's not like you won't be able to fill the space in your closet with something else ;) Sending love to Vizzini!
ReplyDeleteOrange seems to be your natural, best color. I don't have expertise to know why but it just is. Going "multi-orange" is smart and an abundance of riches!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that dress, but if you're not feeling it, then off it goes. It's not that you didn't try. Taking things out of my giveaway pile often ends with me putting it back after one more try. They can't all be regret-me-nots!
ReplyDeleteIf multi-orange doesn't succeed in making one feel better, surely nothing does!
Swooning over those boots every time I see them! xxx
Slow and steady as he goes. 🐱❤️
ReplyDeleteThe dress looks like it drapes quite well on you, but I totally get when an item doesn’t work, into the giveaway pile it goes, available for a second try until the pile is given away.
Meanwhile, here’s to color therapy, dressing nicely therapy, and these often glorious days when summer and fall mesh so harmoniously.
Cheers, Laurie
I really like this outfit you look great in orange! Give Vizzini a hug from me.
ReplyDeleteIt's good things are better for Vizzini today! And I am loving the orange blazer with the orange dress. I do have an orange printed shift dress I could try with my orange blazer, I'll have to give it a go one day I'm back in the office! I do really like that dress on you but completely agree with you letting it go if you're just not feeling it! You have got a great cost per wear with it!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Vizzini!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother classic Sheila look! Bold and bright but very polished!
ReplyDeleteLove your multi-oranged outfit, love that jacket and boots and totally agree that your orange jacket goes with anything and that Orange Cheers Up!
ReplyDeletebesos
I am flicking through your posts now, not commenting on everything, but I do want to say I really like this outfit. Suits you well and it is well balanced.
