Love the Colour

Ugh, Monday following the time change - this calls for a jammy dress!
Good thing I just bought one! Zero effort, but lookin' snazzy.

  • Dress - Calvin Klein, thrifted; purchased here for $14.99 with a gift card
  • Boots - Spring Step; last worn here in February with a red jammy dress
  • Coat (below) - Apparence, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in February

I re-pinked my hair last night - it's a product called Pulp Riot, and it's non-permanent, gradually fading out to a light pink.
I had fans of the pink colour, and also fans of the bright cerulean blue of the dress.

So when someone said, "I love the colour!" I had to ask, "Which one?"
This dress was lovely to wear all day, very comfortable, stretchy and not overly warm.

Add it to the Jammy Dress collection.
The indoor picture colours are pretty accurate today - we had a very clear (and cold) night, and it was sunny for most of the day.

Outerwear - all that clear sky meant very chilly temps in the morning.
Full-on Unsafe Polar Bear!

  • Hat - M&S Collection, consignment, Powell River
  • Scarf - thrifted
  • Gloves - Parkhurst

The stuff:
Every time I wear these boots, I get oodles of comments from my coworkers.

Snake bling:
After I took my outfit pictures, I removed the cheap snake bracelet I have on in them and put it in the giveaway pile. It was a poor impulse buy at the previous vintage fair. Someone will love it, I'm sure.

  • Necklace - vintage expo
  • Bracelet - Whiting & Davis, vintage fair
  • Earrings - gift from Mom
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes

My dear Caro sent this picture of us at Browns from Friday night.
From left: Greg, Ron, Cat, Ross (behind us at the other table), Randall, L, Yvonne and me. Aw!

    1. I loved wearing that dress - sometimes you just know when a dress is going to look amazing. I see a LOT of CK dresses (esp. at the Patch), and most of them are strong NOs.

The boots are amazing. I'm going to miss them over spring/summer!

The accessories you wore are brilliant, love that bracelet. The brocade boots are so beautiful. The coat is very chic. Such a great look from head to toe! You look fantastic.

  10. Your pink hair looks fantastic. Did you get a haircut too?

Oh, the boots and the double snakes. I love it all.

I recently found another Whiting and Davis snake necklace at the market for $10. The seller was trying to tell me that the necklace was new and I was thinking “dahhhhling, this is definitely vintage, please take my $10”!

Oh no, you’re getting rid of the snake bracelet? Was it uncomfortable to wear? I love them and I’m sure someone who finds it in an opshop will enjoy it. X

    1. I had it cut about 4-5 weeks ago - thanks! I do the colour myself.

Oh, nice! I love the thrill when you know something is high-end/vintage and the seller has no idea! $10 is a steal, Jess, well done!

It's cheaply made, and doesn't sit right on my wrist, so I'm just going to pass it along.
