A Plethora of Pastels

A late one this evening, as I hosted Games Night at work for the Social Committee.
If I'm not feeling so bright on the inside, at least I can be bright on the outside.

  • Sweater - Lord & Taylor, consignment; last seen here on Friday with wedge sneakers
  • Skirt - no label, thrifted; last worn here when I lost a flower
  • Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last seen here with Spanish ladies

And playing games with coworkers is also cool, although I have used up all my outgoing energy for the day.
I was really happy with this outfit - I can't believe I'm wearing all these pastels! But don't they go nicely together?
I rarely wear this sweater untucked, but this allows you to see how long it really is!

Someone was begging for attention this morning.
"Nonsense, woman, I'm merely plotting to eat your hats up there."
He was very happy to get a cuddle, whuffling away at me.

The stuff:
I grounded the pastel coral of the sweater and the lilac-lavender of the skirt with poppin' bright versions. Orange shoes.

Bright bling:
And a purple mix scarf - it went so well!

  • Cuff - gift from Karen
  • Ring - Tammy's store
  • Stacking rings - thrifted
  • Earrings - don't remember, mid-90s

Off I go...the couch calls!

  1. You look uber cute in these pretty pastels. I do hope that your usual zest for life returns soon dearest Sheila. Bravo, however, for not letting your mood seep into your colour choices. Hang on in there sweetheart x

  2. I really wouldn't have thought of these as pastel colours - I suppose it's the shoes but in the pictures the shoes and the top look almost similar colours. The whole outfit looks really nice on you and the accessories are lovely ; especially the lovely scarf.

Hope you get your mojo back soon....

    1. Yes, the sweater is more of a coral, but definitely in the paler side of the shade, and the shoes are a very bright orange (almost neon - they don't photograph exactly). Thank you so much, my dear!

    1. It was still quite bright in person - different for me, but still good.

  5. That skirt looks wonderful on you, and all the colors play well together. This is an exceptionally attractive outfit for someone who is not feelin' it. Good job!

  6. Great post title and outfit alike. I adore pastels and pretty much make them my go-to uniform during March - May. These sweet, cheerful shades all rock on you, dear Shelia.

  7. Your pastels don't look too pastel-ly. The way you've combined them they come across as a soft zest. Great shoes. I've never belonged to a social committee. Sounds like fun.
