Leopard and Leather

Okay, this is going to be quick, as I'm tired, and I've had two glasses of wine (and I want more).
Bam! In your face. Leopard and leather pants, two things that ladies of my age (48, going on 49) are probably not supposed to wear.

  • Top -  Lord & Taylor; first worn here in February with gold and w(h)ine
  • Pants - Gap, thrifted; last seen here in February with shades of red, w(h)ine and pink
  • Shoes - Aldo, thrifted; first worn here in February in post-Oscar Gaga angst with shoulders and houndstooth
I absolutely do not care about what I am "supposed" to wear.

Next, they'll be saying I shouldn't have purple hair, which is obviously ridiculous.
I felt awesome in this all day. Win!

The stuff:
Eh, the shoes are okay. I don't love them, but they are comfy. I do have to use the handrails on the stairs, though - those toes are pointy!

Brassy bling:
The usual suspects.

  • Necklace - Nygard, consignment
  • Cuff - Midzo, vintage expo
  • Earrings - local

There, that's got to be a record. One post in 7 minutes. Off for more wine! I'll be back on Sunday-ish with my weekend wrap-up!

  5. Wine pants, tops with artful holes, and purple hair, you get my vote!
(PS - Yeah, me too, sorry, Vronni. I'm not on Google+)

  6. I think most of the outfits we (meaning the members of our fab blogging circle) wear contain at least one item that we, as over 40 dames, are not "supposed" to wear. But we're having way more fun than those boring prats that make up those rules are, so f**k em.

  7. This is what I consider a Sheila look. Leopard, big jewelry, leather pants. Kitten heels usually trip me up, even though I like them.

  8. Very good outfit. Edgy, sassy and flattering (on you). If you were the type that considers "rules" you would never have your hair purple. It is so obvious that you don't want a lecture on how to be proper(ly dressed), that I don't think anyone is going to give you that lecture.

PS shoes will heels like that, make me walk as if I am on flat shoes. Which ruins the heels as they get caught in between everything.

  9. You're a mere youngster Sheila! And I know you've never signed up to the conservative dressing league, so what the heck? I'd wear this entire outfit if I had the chance - love it all.
